Prayers for all those families, as most of us can understand what a community goes through in an event like this wether it be a university setting or a bar.
I don't think it's inappropriate to acknowledge events like this.
I'm with you. We are a community of friends here. Furthermore, we are a community that understands the effects that events like this have on a group of people or place.
I think acknowledging when tragedies happen is not out of line.
I expect nothing less than 15-0.
Where is that "I like the way you think" gif?
I don't take it personally. I do want to say that I didn't post it just as a random news update. I thought there was a relevance based on the actual event to what happened to our community.
For example, if you twitter search "Virginia Tech" right now, you're going to see a ton of tweets about this event.
But again if this thread is inappropriate to the site, then I wouldn't take any offense to it being deleted.
and yell a lot on
thirdfirst, second, third, and fourth downs
I was hoping I could come here as an escape from all this. Nothing personal to Lozo, but I wish a thread didn't have to be started for every major news event. I get my news elsewhere. This website is where I come to laugh and learn about college football and profess my undying love for all things Virginia Tech.
woy hodgson. 'nuff said the guy turned liverpool into a dumpster fire in his disastrous time at anfield and he's doing the same with the national team. sadly, i'm not at all surprised by this, and neither is any other england fan. they'll probably still win their group, despite woy's best efforts.
I'm still laughing that we skinned man city to the tune of 50million for sterling. wouldn't take him back for 10million. another overrated english player (like many on the national team).
I agree and disagree. To me he slipped I don't believe Yedlin intended to make contact. I would have liked to see him be more cautious since the ref was being whistle/card happy however to that point the game had already gotten physically out of hand. If they are allowed to play at a fast tough pace to start the game then that should be the rule of thumb throughout. I believe as Yedlin progresses he will get more mature at handling himself. I was glad to see Orozco come in and play well for him which is good for next round. Also John Brooks was in complete Beast Mode!
The defense really hasn't shown recently that they can be trusted. I'd like to gain that trust back first before assuming anything.
You guys can delete it if you want. I figured it was worth posting here, especially considering the horrors our community went through in 2007.
If it's too political, I understand.
prayers
Since I've been living in Alabama I would want to play Auburn. They are two very similar programs. Even the two towns themselves are very similar.
Them or Texas because I want to go back to Austin.
Obligatory: don't talk about politics, gun laws, etc.
To be perfectly honest I was hoping no one would post this here.
Sad and frustrating. I just don't feel there is anything I personally can do but shake my head and go on living, but that just doesn't seem enough, somehow.
I think Kane was honestly one of the worst players on the field. Possibly behind Sterling.
Bottom line is it was really dumb to be going in recklessly after getting the first yellow, whether that one was warranted or not. Gotta be smarter than that. Anyone who has watched USA play in Concacaf knows that this happens when we get latino refs against latino teams.
Hey-ohh!
Hey, I got an idea. How about THIS GUY?

There will be a replay of the draft on this link "soon".

It looks like Ed Wang was the expert on the draft panel.
Are Willie Mcginest and Terence Smith really going to play Chinese Arena Football? They were starters in the nfl
I expect nothing less than 15-0.
However, if things turn out other than what I was expecting, that's ok too. I just want to eat a Mike's burger and yell a lot on third downs.
I'm pretty selfish by nature, and I still just don't see how this is a detriment to anyone.
That actually sounds like a decent plan for Heinz Field.
Say Brewer is not hurt, the reffing is reasonable, or Lefty called a better game, and we beat ECU. We are then going to be more likely to be favored in the later games. We lost one we should not have, so they expected us to lose more. That's how setting the odds work. We should beat Duke, ECU, and UNC, and had to bring in new coaches because we couldn't. You base should off the odds makers, who base it on how we are playing. I am basing it on how we should be playing. (SEC type logic I know, but if you don't believe you should win you will not.)

I didn't realize there was an era when the Hoos thought they were too good to go to a specific bowl. Going to the Whatever-The-Boise-Bowl-Was-Called-Back-Then Bowl was beneath their dignity?
