# | OT: If you could rent the Big House (Michigan Stadium) for a day, what would you do with it? Fill it to the top with Rice Krispies and invite the entire state of Ohio to bring their own milk.
I'm thinking 4-4-2 again, Dempsey and Zardes up top; with Bedoya, Bradley, Jones, and NAGBE at mid; I'd also like to see Chandler out wide to replace Yedlin, but only the coaches know if he's in form.
Not that it makes it much better but we've won 5 home games against D1 opponents the past two years. We've only won 2 against P5 (if UVA still counts) teams in that time span though. The stat I've heard that stings the most is the team to most recently win back-to-back games in Lane Stadium is Duke (Oct 2015). VT hasn't won back-to-back games in Lane since Oct 2013. Ouch.
To your last statement, I really hope not. Not sure what I'd rather see, but I don't want to see Wondo.
Repaint it in Michigan State colors and add State after every Michigan I could find.
well our record over the last 4 years says we're a middling team that loses those games so Vegas is right no? Like I don't think people realize that we've won exactly 2 home football games against D1 opponents the last two years. I'm excited for the Fuente era but you have to realize where we are starting from. 7 wins this year is a great start with 2017 being a target date for winning the Coastal if trevon, Ford, and Bucky come back
Hope Arya survives tonight.
Agreed, but my point was still that the games we should win based on talent, program, etc. are not the same as games we should win per Vegas. Some teams play predictably below talent, some above, some to it. It is not accetable to me to let Vegas say we should lose to lesser talent because that is who we are now. Duke, ECU, UNC are games we should win, no matter what Vegas says.
Nope, will acknowledge that he ever wore a VT uniform. MV was an only child and that is what I am sticking to
Only the Continental Tire Bowl or better for the Hoos
If I hear one more old player say this team doesnt have heart....what they did takes a lot of guts, I think its something like 11% of teams that lose the first game advance; let alone win the group. Thank you Costa Rica. Also I'd like to discuss the tournaments biggest disappointment thus far (Uruguay). They look like a different team top to bottom without him on the field. Its amazing. I dunno what it is but for whatever reason Edison Cavani really lacks that killer instinct, he doesnt have the teeth to sink into a game (see what i did there?)
can we also start to discuss the next game? What do you think we do without yedlin or wood able to play. does wondo start?
they think they're to good for everything
After reading that article I went straight to YouTube to listen to Cowherd's rant on UVA football and it still cracks me up.
haha martial had a pretty good first year, but i still do think you overpaid a tad on him. I mean if we're talking about youth development though you cant discount kelechi innheacho, jason denayer, enes unal, adarabioyo, manu garcia, brandon barker, and brahmin all look REALLY good from a youth perspective, i mean shoot two of those guys are starting for champions league teams and the third has been one of the most pleasant surprises of the season in kelechi. City's future looks pretty bright
I see your Sterling and raise you Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
the guy is still only 22, lets wait more than one season before we write someone off as a complete bust. A lot of the best players out there struggle their first year. But yeah we did overpay a good bit for him, 30 i could see. 50...yeesh. But we desperately needed pace and a young english player for champions league reasons.
Ha!
"I like the way you think...I'm going to keep my eye on you".

Sam Kinnison with Rodney Dangerfield in "Back to School", I think. This makes me remember that I saw Sam live at the Bayou in DC 30 years ago. Rodney, Sam, and maybe the Bayou?....all gone....(sigh)...RIP.
I know it would never work as a result of distance, but I wish this was a yearly rivalry. A&M is basically the same school on the other side of the country. My brother goes there and I am always surprised to see how similar they are as a community to us when I visit. Also, the schools military traditions would make for some interesting conversation on a gameday.
As a United fan, I laugh my ass off at City for paying that. But I'm also sad that he's no longer avaliable to ruin Liverpool's sides. Sigh.
Saw a crow today on my way into church. I believe it was a sign. Tonight will be lit.
Kind of a bummer on the top but Frank Beamer developed many men of a good character like KJ. I'm sure we can find someone else to fill that role. Not to take anything away from KJ...
Big big big result by Costa Rica. I'm really proud of our team showing such grit and determination after that first match. Now we sit and wait for either Ecuador or Peru (thinking Ecuador) on a days rest and in Seattle. Winning the group is huge just to get a match in Seattle. Hopefully those crazy Sounder fans get up for that match.
USA proved me wrong, and I'm glad to admit it!
Just now seeing this. But yes. Obviously everyone in this thread enjoys to sport and enjoys watching it. Your comment adds nothing to the discussion. No one is forcing you to watch it yet you still want to come comment on it in a thread full of soccer fans. Why the fuck did you feel compelled to do that? "Oh I don't like soccer let me go bitch at everyone else about it and see if I can make them feel bad for liking a sport that I don't like."
That's so selfish. Get the fuck outta here with that shit. This site is better than that.
Say Brewer is not hurt, the reffing is reasonable, or Lefty called a better game, and we beat ECU.
We couldn't stop their QB from running over us either. To me, their QB's running success hurt us more than the refs, Loeffler and Brewer's injury all combined.
EDIT: Intended to be a reply to Kville Hokies

I feel like I'm watching Dodgeball.
