Thoughts on the last episode which overall I really enjoyed.

1) First and foremost, I love a good Dany badass boss moment. That last scene and her scene where she took the unsullied were two of the most badass scenes in the series.

2) No love for poor Osha, I always liked her a lot, thought she deserved better than that, but it is what it is.

3) I really hope they take down the Sparrows. They kind of came out of nowhere with a ridiculous amount of power, not a fan, they are stifling the fun of some of our most politically aggressive characters at the moment.

4) Pretty sure they are setting up the Jon Snow reclaim the North, downfall of Ramsey for the season finale.

GG, it was a hard fought series. Big step for the Raptors franchise. At this point I'm just happy to make it this far, and anything else is icing on the cake.

My realistic expectation is Cleveland in 6, but hopefully in my wildest dreams it is Toronto in 7 by some miracle. If KLoe and DDR play like they did in Game 7, Raps definitely have a chance to win a game or two.

Samardzija was probably, out of the more recent ones, the only one who could have pulled off being successful in two sports based off talent. Timing conflicts may have made it impossible, but he was 1st-2nd round talent at receiver, and he is currently a well paid MLB pitcher.

The season prevews show Jaime and Mace Tyrell leading a force on horses up the steps to the sept. I'm not sure how that is going to go, but I also believe Jaime may be in another location by the end of the season that would mean that Kings Landing was cleared of sparrows and the masses pacified.

Yep, and that's completely understandable. Considering her importance in the show, she could cut out the gratutious scenes.....she doesn't work in Littlefingers brothel or hang around early-seasons Tyrion. It was important for her to be naked when she walked out of the building last night.

But a body double would have worked too, it didn't detract from Cersei's scene last night.

They also could have just re-used and photoshopped in footage from one of the dozens or so times the showrunners had her gratuitously nude in the first couple seasons. Its not like there wasn't plenty of footage of that already out there.

"We're at 9,900 and a little bit, but if we went to 8,800, we'd be fine, and it's set up in such a way that everybody is so close to the floor that when it's full, it's a rocking place," Gabbard said. "I can tell you that when (Jim) Boeheim was in the Big East and we went to the ACC, and then Syracuse joined, he said 'Ugh, I've got to go back to Cassell.'"

Wow, that might be the biggest misuse of an out of context quote I've ever seen. Boeheim didn't prevent Cuse from coming to Cassell in the Big East because of how intimidating the place was and how 'rocking' it got. He refused to play there because he felt coming to a school with facilities as high-schoolish as VT had allowed our basketball facilities to get (practice court and lockerrooms were a complete embarrassment in the Big East days) was completely and utterly beneath a program with the prestige of Syracuse.

To see Gabbert puffing his chest out and trying to use that quote to pat himself and our program on the back is.... wow, completely out of touch with reality.

It seems like we are giving the Cassell a makeover every 6 or 7 years. Likewise, didn't we just give English Field a major upgrade? Our long-range and "sustainable" planning seems to be lacking.
And, regarding improvements for recruiting purposes, immediately after we built the basketball practice facility, both the men's and women's teams descended into the most historic losing streaks in school history. And, we have not yet recovered, although Buzz seems to have us headed in the right direction. Something to think about.

That sounds like a pretty good fishing trip and a 19 inch smallmouth is no slouch. I haven't made any floats past Eggelston yet but it's in my to do list in the next few weeks. Hopefully the weather decides if it wants to May or October.

Greg Paulus played 4 years of basketball at Duke, and after getting teabagged by Deron Washington, he used the graduate transfer rule to head up to Syracuse for one season and play QB.

I guess college basketball just left a bad taste in his mouth...

but anyway, I feel like there are probably some instances of track/football crossovers out there as well (a la Corey Fuller or David Wilson.)

An "urgent" inquiry has been demanded after a dummy bomb used in a security exercise caused a Premier League match at Old Trafford to be postponed.

The game between Manchester United and Bournemouth was called off after the item was discovered close to kick-off.

A controlled explosion was carried out on the device, which police said was accidentally left by a private firm.

Well this is not a good look for that company.

Great interview Alex. Aside from the padded seats in Cassell and some beer sales in the football stadium, it seems they are more interested in upgrading facilities to attract recruits, which is fine and needed. Now from a fans perspective, they need to do more than build new facilities. Here comes the soap box speech. I have talked Tom G. about upgrading the parking for RV's during football season. That airport runway expansion is going to take away approximately 150 RV parking spots and no one at VT seems to think it is a big deal. There are close to 500 RV's that come in during a football game including visitors and no where to park. When Ohio St. came in last year, it was embarrassing the lack of preparation that the parking facilities team had. If you want to be one of the big boys, you have to do it on all levels, not just ones you think are important. OK there is my rant.

I believe the Accords in the comics included a registration act (including revelations of the secret identities) which would have been much more extreme.

I was shocked that they didn't include this. It's the main motivation for someone like Hawkeye or Spiderman to get involved. It also creates a great example when the two most famous supers are so diametrically opposed on supporting the Accords. Of course, Hawkeye doesn't wear a mask in MCU, so his identity is already out there since his face would show up on the NYC film reel.

It felt pretty odd when Stark points out that Hawkeye has a wife and family to think about, and Hawkeye kind of shrugs it off. Sounded more like he was bored than anything.

I believe her stance was she didn't want to be nude unless it had a big impact on the story line and her clause probably mimmicks that in which she can determine if her being nude is advancing the story line and thus be within her contract to say no.

I could be wrong but this was the way my Mrs_Warthog interpreted it.

Any speculation how the head sparrow is going to be slain ? Since this was only the third out of a season of (10 ?) shows, perhaps they will stoke everyone hating him this year and use his death as a good season finale ? Did enjoy the hot time in the old town last night though ... sure spiced up the show.

VT_Warthog...I too have opinions:
1. THANK GOD someone else saw Tobey Maguire for the crap Spiderman that he is. I do believe his acting has a place though (see: Cider House Rules, Pleasantville, Back to the Future II).
2. I thought the motivation presented in the movie for Hawkeye, Antman, and a couple others to be fighting the other Avengers was weak. I mean, the Accords were not presented as a terrible thing in the movie. I believe the Accords in the comics included a registration act (including revelations of the secret identities) which would have been much more extreme.
3. GREAT MOVIE
