You got me thinking and I can't recall anyone playing in two of the major sports leagues at the same time since Bo and Deion (and don't forsee Devin making that leap). There have been at least a handful of guys who dabbled in two sports during their college years. Below is a list of guys I could think of (excluding football/track guys since there are a lot of them):

  • Charlie Ward is a few years younger than Deion. Won the Heisman & a football national championship at FSU and then was drafted by the Knicks and played 12 years in the NBA.
  • Ronald Curry & Julius Peppers played both football and basketball at UNC. (Of course, it's easier to play 2 sports when you don't have to go to class...)
  • Jeff Samardzija played football (WR) and baseball (pitcher) for Notre Dame- he plays in MLB now.
  • Russell Wilson played football and minor league baseball, which ultimately led to him transferring out of NC State when Tom O'Brien told him he needed to give up baseball if he wanted to be their QB. There are a decent number of other college football/minor league baseball guys as well- Chris Weinke, Brandon Weeden, etc.
  • Jimmy Graham played 4 years of basketball at Miami before hanging around for grad school and playing 1 year of football.
  • There have been some notable guys who played only college basketball and went on to good NFL careers- Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates come to mind.
  • Jeremy Bloom was a professional skier and WR/PR/KR for Colorado. Good enough to ski in the Olympics and get drafted by the Eagles, but I don't think he ever played in a regular season NFL game.
  • Greg Paulus played 4 years of basketball at Duke, and after getting teabagged by Deron Washington, he used the graduate transfer rule to head up to Syracuse for one season and play QB.

It's all about who you get. Say what you want to about Arsene, he is an elite manager. You saw it with United, after you replace a world class manager, even with someone you think can do a job, it's difficult. United still isn't there. But let's be honest, this was Arsenal's season to lose. They bottled it.

She has her army. But damn no love for the wildling lady who took care of Rikon. Although the photoshop job with Clarke's head on the nude didn't look right for some reason.

Iwobi was added by coming up from the youth teams. This is how Arsenal attempts to grow but the past several season the youth squads just haven't produced. They made a concerted effort to build numbers there a couple seasons ago and we're just starting to see the benefits.

Damn, that was a good episode....

Definitely feels like the pieces of the endgame are starting to fall into place.

It was a lot more than Ramsey... but yes the same story crops up every season and I think we need to have a serious study done on Arsenal's medical staff.

But aside from that, sing it with me Gooners so all the Spuds can hear: "It's happened again! It's happened again!" Well you know the rest.

That's what happens when your engineering school sucks more than your football team.

I currently live on Long Island, and there are many low hanging bridges/overpasses that pre-date the interstate system. The entire Parkway system, designed by Robert Moses, are the main thorough roads that run from the eastern part of the island into the 5 Burroughs. For the exception of one interstate running east/west, truckers have a very difficult time navigating LI. I myself have seen many a truck peeled back like an accordion!

As a Miami fan, there is nothing more frustrating than watching Wade turn back the clock multiple times, only for his teammates to come up short. Had Bosh and Whiteside not gotten hurt, it wouldn't have been a contest, even if Valanciunas didn't get hurt either. Dragic's inconsistency also hurt us. Can't believe he is making 14.7 million a year.

Lowry and DeRozan are good players, but it will be another another year or two before they can carry Toronto past the Cavs, if DeRozan sticks around. Whoever advanced to the ECF to play the Cavs got a bad draw. They've swept their first 2 rounds, whereas Miami and Toronto both played two 7-games series'. I'm predicting another Cavs sweep.

Anyway, congratulations to the Raptors on advancing to the ECF; the series was a lot of fun to watch. Don't count on Lowry and DeRozan getting to the line as much against the Cavs, as it's certainly in the NBA's best interests for the Cavs to be back in the Finals. Plus, Lowry's flopping in the series against Miami was definitely apparent and will be a focus of the officials during the ECF. Also, big shoutout to Biyombo. Lots of fun to watch. Reminds me of Birdman during our last championship. The finger wagging pissed me off a little bit, and that won't fly against LeBron and company, but nonetheless he was a lot of fun to watch.

It's very similar to how the Patriots run their offense. It is very hard to key in on certain formations for tells or even certain players lined in certain spots in formations for tells on the play. They can line whatever player they want in whatever's position they want and any play from the ones we saw above can be ran. It's going to make it very tough on opposing defenses.

Ramsey, Cazorla, Rosicky, Koscielny, Welbeck, Walcot. Most seasons I would agree. Arsene has been frustrating with how frugal he is with not buying big names. This goes beyond just him though. He added depth this year with El Neny and Wyobi. If we can keep Sanchez and Ozil this is going to be a dangerous team in EPL and Champions League next season.
