I feel bad for UF. They're hanging around his butt.
where he'll make the incredible play that shouldn't happen, but will drop anything that hits him squarely in the numbers
well, he'd be perfect for Motley then! /s
*ducks*

Somewhere out there, there is a very sad Hokie Knight who is unable to take advantage of this situation

Seriously. We have been picking up more CB's for Hunter over the past week or two and if anything it's giving me less confidence of landing him.
Yeah sure he's a good tight end

Well, Smitty took a couple years in the NFL to establish himself as a legitimate outside threat, as well. Helped he came up at a time where Mushin Muhammad took a lot of focus from defenses, allowing Smitty to get lost in coverages. Once he got to NFL playing weight, he became unstoppable for a very long time.
I wasn't trying to compare the two, I'm just saying its a mistake to count out a kid just because of his size. If he can make plays, it doesn't matter how big he is, get the ball in his area and he'll make a play. Then again, this kid could be all Teddy Ginn, where he'll make the incredible play that shouldn't happen, but will drop anything that hits him squarely in the numbers.
Mostly because steve smith is not a slot receiver
I know one was an NFL vet and the other is a high school player but Steve Smith is 2 inches taller, 35 pounds heavier, way faster and was an incredible route runner (my biggest concern from limited film on Kalil). I'm excited to have Kalil as a Hokie and hope he remains committed but the Steve Smith comparison is way premature (I hope you're right though!).
If he couldn't pass he'd have to settle for UNC
They do know where the story goes, doesn't mean the lack of full source material isn't still an issue to some degree. There's a difference between having a completed book and GRRM letting them know the direction and ending.
I don't think that's a problem. They know where the story goes, there are only 15 (?) episodes left.
I agree that we are in between right now, trying to prep 10 different storylines for 5 minutes instead of getting in depth on anyone. This wasn't their best episode, but it was essential to keep pushing the rock up the hill.
The problem is they are running out of source material. Unless GRRM can start pushing the pace (unlikely), this will continue to be a consistent issue.
I really hope that some of these story lines combine soon. I think it really sucks that we just get 5-10 minutes per show of each story. Everything feels rushed.
Holy dogshit! As horrible as everything they did is, this right here made me roflmao. Much thanks Mr. HOAT!
Cause they are always sooo reliable in the past.
No negative impact whatsoever. In reality, this is better than the old system because $125 of the $500 per seat is now tax deductible and counts for HC status.
+1 and would give you more legs if i could.
When we start winning again and pumping more money into the program through increased fan/alumni contributions we will see more blue-chip guys. But the way many reacted to the Hokie Club changes worries me much more than our current recruiting.
Awesome news. I hope that crystal ball is accurate.
"Hunny, I was just trying to find gifs for this football player we call Double-D..."
If you're fishing inshore and/or off the pier, here's a decent fishing report I found to give you an idea. Sorry, no Pompano.
Hoping to get out next weekend and fish Rudee Inlet for some speckle trout before the run dies out. I'm hopeful to catch a flounder or two as well but needs to warm up a bit. Blues are being caught now and will hit just about anything shinny. I typically fish with gulp, jig heads, and live menhaden if I can catch them with a throw net.
He looks fundamental which is what Buzz needs for his guys. He will need to bulk up a lot to handle the physical ACC play (especially on defense). He is 6'5" but doesn't attack the rim on his drives in the parts I watched but he does use his body to shield out defenders. He is young and will fill out when he gets on campus but that may limit his effectiveness early in his career. He is another block for Buzz to build with and that is what we need long term.

Fishing report from the weekend: Went fishing, saw the fish, cast my line, Only thing I caught was a nice buzz and my limit in lakeweed.

I swear I saw one laughing at me.
