I have a question for someone who is well versed in surf fishing NC in May. I am heading down to Duck (OBX) on the 19th for the weekend. What could we expect to have biting this time of year from small fish to larger (Drum, Striper, Shark) given decent conditions?

Gulp catch a lot of fish but I cannot stand buying those damn things.
Frankly if I'm not fly fishing for reds and trout, I'm just using a Johnson gold spoon.
Did you get the croaker in Mathews? I fished Rudee yesterday and caught one trout. Waste of time, too many people there. Reports were tons of big bluefish over 30". Nobody seemed to catch anything
Would add only that 1/2 or 5/8 oz painted jig heads and 4" Gulp Swimming Mullet in chartreuse, pink and white will catch most of those fish, with the false albacore being the exception (probably, don't know). It is a real hoot to catch those fish with bass tackle. I catch a ton of flounder on them, and have already caught a bunch of croaker on them this past weekend. Also, 6" Gulp Jerk Shad on an unweighted 4/0 worm hook is a great way to get trout and reds in skinny water. Good luck.

So here are the number of verbal commits we have had by May 9 in previous recruiting cycles. (remember, this will be May 9 of the previous year, meaning for the 2016 cycle, it's the number of verbal commits by May 9,2015)
2016: 5
2015: 4
2014: 6
2013: 12
2012: 8
2011: 2
2010: 6
2009: 1
2008: 3
2007: 0
So it's not just you. Having 9 verbal commits at this point is ahead of the curve, and the second most verbals we have had by this point in the last decade.

In fact, if the reports are to be true, he not only knew what was going on, but was making personal calls to the accusers pressuring them into dropping charges way back when to keep it all under wraps. Oh, and pretty much the entire PSU football coaching staff knew about it, but weren't allowed to act on the knowledge.

But sometimes it has to do with the competition he's up against. If his area is bad at football in general the scouts could believe that his playmaking ability is superficial. Complete speculation on my part for this though.

Something isn't adding up. Is it really simply because he's a small player? Ask Steve Smith how much height hurts your game if you're fast and quick enough to find open spots.
October is the absolute best month to fish North Carolina. I have never fished Emerald Isle but you are a just a few miles southwest of Cape Lookout which offers redfish, trout and the famous false albacore run. A quick look on Google Earth shows on the back side of Emerald there are some areas with flats, where you will find redfish and trout cruising the flats, along with flounder, jacks and sharks.
Ocean side in the surf you will also have lots of redfish/drum, along with some trout and possibly bluefish and spanish mackerel if the temps stay up. Using bait, I prefer cut mullet for the reds in the surf. If you get lucky, the albies can run down the beaches and may be close enough to cast to. Catching one from the sand is worth 10 from the boat and they are nuts to hook up to. Small spoons will take them.

I agree with the scene of Sam and Gilly heading to Oldtown. That whole storyline would be much more interesting if the show had gone the direction of the book, and implied that Jaqen H'gar was offing people in Oldtown for some reason.
I do love the way GoT deals with revelations for plot points that the audience speculates on.

And can he please catch a TD while doing a backflip and then continue back flipping up the lawn at Lane North knocking Zimas over and high fiving Hokie fans? Is that too much to ask?
apparently he plays QB for his HS since he is one of the better players so there isn't much tape of him at WR other than 7v7. I would put him mid 3*, height n weight also hurts him.
However dude will be a very good slot WR/KR for us =.
