The people that have been giving the longest will benefit from the new priority point system. They will get an earlier choice of seats than someone who has only been giving a few years. The difference is that when it is their time to select a seat, they can only select seats in a section that are within the amount they donated that year.

I agree there are a probably a lot of folks in your situation trying to weigh what to do. On the other hand, there are a good number of younger alumni who have been trying to move down but unable due to the seats being locked in for several years. For example, I was a Golden Hokie last year (and giving above even the new Golden minimum), but my seats were in a section that is designated as a $350 minimum donation. Now I will theoretically be able to get seats in the $800 section without changing my donation at all.

I don't think people hate the stripes as much as they are acting
you might be right. I can only speak for myself here. I have NEVER liked the stripes. That being said, I'm not the one wearing the uniforms so I don't typically voice my opinion on them. I don't think they're that bad. I'll admit that I'm disappointed in the changes (or lack thereof, really) but they could still be much much worse. I was really looking forward to those stripes being gone but I guess I'll just have to get over the fact they're here to stay.

I'm not so sure the remaining Starks hate Jaime quite so much as one would think.
I mean they certainly dislike him, in particular because he is a Lannister, but he is not on Arya's list for example. Bran doesn't like him for obvious reasons, but I don't think he will be involved with too much south of the Wall anytime soon.
Sansa its difficult to say. She doesn't have any specific reason to hate Jaime (again beyond him being a Lannister).
I guess my point being that its doesn't seem likely that any out of Sansa, Arya, or Bran will be in a position to kill Jaime anytime soon. It would be really interesting if Brienne ends up convincing Sansa to not go after him, as she has come around to him just as much as the viewers have.
I think the "little brother" reference from the fortune teller to Cersei is really the telling line. I can't remember specifically when in the show or books, but it has been mentioned multiple times that Jaime was the younger twin by a few moments. Possibly the biggest red herring to have viewers think it refers to Tyrion, which seems the obvious means of Cersei's death if either of her brothers is going to kill her. But having Jaime do it would give much more interesting options story wise.

A few people have already said it, but I think the source of all the butthurt is that we were all but promised a major uniform overhaul and got a few adjustments. I don't think people hate the stripes as much as they are acting, I know I don't, but we just want something new, like we were told we would get. And the fact that the stripes stayed but the numbers changed to an disjointed motif just gave us something to harp on.

# | Virginia Tech Overhauls Hokie Club to Boost Donations, Meet Growing Scholarship Expenses The one caveat I would add as a potential caution: especially given that 2017 will be a full reseating, just because someone donates $400 and wants to purchase 2 tickets, there is no guarantee there will be any $200 seats remaining when that person's turn comes up in seat selection. It just means when their turn comes up they can select any remaining seats that are available up through the $200 section (or in a higher section if seats are available and the person wants to make an extra donation atseat selection time to make up the difference).

# | Virginia Tech Overhauls Hokie Club to Boost Donations, Meet Growing Scholarship Expenses If you're a Hokie Club member you have priority over non-members for season tickets, away game tickets, post-season tickets, and, assuming they are available (i.e. not sold out via season tickets, which has been the case since 2012), mini-packs and single game tickets. The level of your priority is determined by your Hoke Club ranking, which is driven by the number of priority points you've earned as compared to the number of priority points earned by all other active Hokie Club members.
I agree with your point that it may make sense to have a lower level club for people that have no interest or ability to attend games but still want to support the athletics department. Maybe they feel $100 is the minimum they want to entertain even for that, but I'm not sure. Might be a good question for someone to pose at one of the Town Halls.

# | Virginia Tech Overhauls Hokie Club to Boost Donations, Meet Growing Scholarship Expenses So I've been reading this whole thread as well as the vid with "Laaser", and while I agree that something needs to be done, why don't they just raise it to the bare minimum (ie $50-$100) and after (assuming) Fuente lights the effin shit up next season start raising it to $200-$300? I feel like there's gotta be something to show first.
I cannot believe that someone thinks that Bruce Arians is dumb enough to draft Swag Kelly in the first round.
UGH TSL and old people struck again... years ago... but I digress, I liked those uniforms. But I probably liked the 04-07 the best.
I too really liked the throwbacks when they first surfaced in 2008. But A) I don't think anyone thought they would become our uniforms for the rest of eternity, and B) I started getting turned away from them when they started putting stripes on the pants and even the helmets at times with no regard whatsoever of how the color scheme of the stripes matched or the fact that not every piece of the uniform needs very bulky bland vertical stripes.

Two vendors have come through and there will be a couple more to do demos/sampling before a seat is even picked.
Not often that I look at a list of eight and figure we're in the bottom two as far as football programs.
