I feel like her Twitter avatar reflects how she does all of her articles
I'd hold off on this just yet. A lot of confusion about exact wording and what it means. The ACC is NOT adding any restrictions on top of NCAA rules.
1 at ODU
1 in Delray Beach
1 in Baltimore
1 in NOVA
1 in New Jersey
1 in Charlotte
Am I missing any?
Because John Swofford is a dumbass UNC shill who doesn't give a shit if it doesn't benefit the heels
I know a lot of people dont like them, but the jerseys look pretty sick here
Because #goacc
I don't understand why the ACC would place this arbitrary limitation on itself when there is no such NCAA limitation.
That should get us into Charlotte and DC. Any other decent territories?
I think it can work but you should still have someone
getting the majority of the carries.
I love our new head coach.
I have to agree. As great as it sounds to lock down the 757 and elsewhere in VA, the recruiting landscape has changed so much that I don't think it is possible. The big recruits in the 757 have absolutely 0 loyalty to VT and/or the Commonwealth in general. Let's stop pretending they do. I'm personally tired of the friend-zoned vibe some of these recruits continually give us because we are too dumb or naive to understand that they are uninterested in actually going to VT. They will go wherever the most smoke is blown up their tails nationally (and I don't doubt they have benefactors/influences on them that push them to do so). For as many resources as we blow on recruiting there annually, the yield is incredibly low. I really think we should court any and all in-state recruits interested, but we need to focus on other areas as well (Florida has become a pipeline recently, and Fuente and Co. brings us loads of connections in the deeper south/TX/OK) to be truly successful. The "six hour radius" and own the state mentality is pretty worn out.
David Teel reporting that the ACC is still limiting its out-of-state camps to a 50-mile radius. So no national takeover for VT (or any other ACC program).
With NCAA reversal, an #ACC football program can stage a camp anywhere in its state, or as far away as 50 miles if out of state.β David Teel (@DavidTeelatDP) April 28, 2016
He was in for mop up time in the early going, along with a bit of Durkin. Most of his plays were designed runs.
ODU is one of our targets
Somewhere in the Ok/Tx territory is another with the pedigree of our coach
Delray Beach is another one
DC area? We'll need to defend against PSU and MD. Mich/OSU/Tx/Ok/FSU/ND/etc won't go there but it is our house so we should defend it
Basically the first body to vote was weighted towards the P5 and the SEC and with the ACC's help were able to get the ban through.
The body above them that now overturned it was not weighted like that and was equally represented across all of Division 1. and made up of University Presidents not Athletic Directors.
Yup! If you want to change the law, work towards changing it first...Until then, abide by the law like the rest of us working schmucks. It's a damn shame what happened here, but they needed to keep their eyes on the prize, follow the rules and concentrate on what's really important.
What jumps out to me was when the hell did Lawson get 14 carries?
There is no restriction at the moment. I was just responding in agreement to DBHT14's ideal resolution.
*Cough *Cough... money to be made
As far as I've read there is not a restriction on how many camps coaches can go to. If there is a good read about the details could you link it?
I like this - restrict the time and quantity of camps. Good compromise for everyone - coaches, players, bluebloods and little guys.
lived with an RA for the first month of my freshman year, my favorite story from him hands down was about a bustup on pritchards roof
apparently someone broke the lock to the roof and replaced it with his own and turned the roof into his own private drinking ground, at the end of the year someone tried to go up there for some reason and realized the lock had been changed. Upon breaking it the RAs discovered some 300 beer cans on the roof
i also know of some guys throwing a hand sanitizer out of the 3rd floor of vawter and some guys sticking a lobster from west end down a toilet in a neighbors suite, the girls thought it was alive and screamed so loud it could be heard on multiple floors
What a bunch of spineless douches.
How are they spineless? They just shutdown the most profitable football conference (SEC). This is a victory for most of the little guys, and a handful of bluebloods. If they upheld it, it would have benefited the SEC, Texas, USC, Oklahoma, etc.
Roger's pussy carries cannot be denied.

I feel for new people just coming into this place
