5 am workouts and some extra sprints I say! JK
STUDY HIGH, TAKE THE TEST HIGH, GET HIGH SCORES!

That's straight-up what I thought the new article was about, and I was about to commend you for the deluge of write-ups today. Alas...
No need to cry..
I think it depends. I know several people who had to take a semester off
So you crying like a little girl? /s
If the law changes and it remains University policy, then they would still be breaking it. VT has a policy against this, they broke the law and the policy.
Anything is better than the flywire open front the Nike jerseys used to have in the NFL that looked like a toilet seat around the collar (ie - Saints old collar before them and other teams changed it.)
It looks big without the helmet on but appears much smaller when the kids have those really wide Revo Speed and Speed Flex helmets on.
Everything through Student Conduct now has "it depends" punishments as everything is handled case by case to give students a fair trial rather than a blanket policy of "3 strikes" or whatever else fit the situation. A trial date of June 27 means we will know what we are dealing with well before Fall practice.
This is how I choose to respond to the situation:

And the Student Council has been on our side in these hearings. Oh wait...
Not sure if it will be the same, but "included" in the price of the helmets was the option to have Frank sign them at no additional charge. Don't hold me to it but I would think they will do the same thing here.
I'm still rooting for Motley. He had a few really good games last year. He's capable of leading this team. Although, I'm wondering if switching to another offense, again, is gonna hurt him.
Given the situation, really not funny.
Players that have problems following laws, whether you agree with them or not, have problems. These guys have potentially stunningly bright futures ahead of them and they can't abide by the rules the rest of us normal people are expected to. That's an issue, and disappointing.
Great Story. We all needed some good news today. Thanks for sharing this, B.
If Fuente or Student Conduct says so. Deferred suspension is basically "don't get in trouble for a year or you're kicked out"
Amen brother
Not letting college athletes see a dime off their own success/brand is a problem with the system; smoking marijuana in a state where it is illegal to do so and purchasing alcohol when underage is poor behavior on behalf of the individuals. I'm still disappointed.
I assumed it was for summer as well. That is why some of the players can graduate after three years.
See you guys next year. Mary Jane is a two semester suspension. Summer does NOT count (I know from secondhand experience).
Hopefully their lawyers can pull some strings but they're fucked for the 2016 season.
EDIT: just saw this tweet
@ChrisColemanTSL usually a deferred suspension though, no "active" time— Kris Olin (@kristopherolin) April 26, 2016
According to this guy's twitter bio, he's a lawyer in Blacksburg, so i'd listen to him over me.
They're on the way out. When Whit took to twitter to reason why we are standardizing the brand, he specifically used a couple of those uniforms as examples on how the brand became fractured.
Well, I think he's off to a good start so far. An indefinite suspension of all parties involved the day immediately following the transgressions. I'm interested to see how he proceeds.
I will say that I am very disappointed with them both. If you agree with the law or not, IT IS THE LAW. As a responsible member of society, it is our agreement to follow the laws of the Country. They should have known that they need to follow the law and not think they are better than the law.
Virginia Tech is much more harsh on weed possession EVERYTHING than Ohio State

Nah, that's the rest of *you people*
(And yes, what do I mean, *you people*, well what do you mean, *you people*)
