That's got to be the largest spring crowd that stadium has seen in decades. So whatever it was they did today it must have been supremely interesting
Was not a college age kid or even 20 something it was 50+ year old man.
After looking at some pictures from UVA's "festival" today, I can honestly say I'm not exactly sure what the hell went on during it.
Bucky grabbed his hammy after th PI call on Stroman. Tried to play a bit, but was limping badly before subbing out. Pretty sure a minor ham string pull.

That seemed to make more difference than who was in on offense. Parker O seemed to start slow at tackle, and Gaines beat him to kill some early drives. Tremain, Diablo, Adonnis looked good to me. I'll leave interior review to those who know it. Offence. Would easily have doubled the yards if QB's were live. Great day for football. VT fans came out in force. We are too thin at DBU. 3rd O line was dominated by third O. We have talent at receiver, Lawson missed some easy throws. Stroman did nothing with punt returns.

I obviously don't have the advantage of watching any film, so I'll hold judgment till fall. He is definitely physically imposing!

# | Justin Fuente's Offense Sputters in Spring Game, Despite Handful of Bright Spots I think it's a bit unfair to say that the offense sputtered. I didn't get that sense.
We have to remember that this offense is going against Bud's defense. I think both teams had their moments. The offense certainly didn't blow anyone's doors off but considering they have practiced all of 14 times and were down their top two receivers and rotated quarterbacks every drive and were up against Bud's group I think it's remarkable they managed 20 points.
Two big takeaways for me. The offense only went 3 and out twice. The stupid sideline checks we did the last three years are finally gone. I hated those.
I don't expect this offense to rack up tons of yards and truck loads of points but I'm encouraged by what I saw today. I fully expect this offense to improve over the course of the season and should be pretty good by 2017. I do believe that the future is bright.
I told my dad who was sitting in front of us (I'm the one who keeps up with these things) and, although I begged him not to say anything, at the end of the game when the recruits were all getting up, my dad casually told him we needed him in Blacksburg and he smiled really big. He seemed like a really nice guy. I had a hard time paying attention during the game. I was watching, of course, but I was also trying to listen to comments from the row of recruits directly in front of me haha.
