Something you should never admit that you know. Not even if you have a daughter. Princess Bride comment!

Who am I kidding I now every song to The Little Mermaid.

Given the sum of the asshattery throughout his life, I think we can can conclude that he is in fact a bad person. We could get philosophical with it, but I'm relatively certain we'd reach that conclusion.

And it stated that he had warrants out on him, so it's rather difficult to accept that the cop just had it out for him. Dude's essentially a career criminal, which is sad given his potential.

I am not saying I am impressed with Perrantes but there is a role for him at the next level. If you had asked me back in 2001 if Steve Blake coming out of Maryland had a shot at a long career in the NBA I would have told you you were crazy, but here we are 15 years later and Blake is still pulling down a paycheck. Perrantes falls into that kind of category. Blake has been with 10 teams in 15 years and only averaged in double figures in one season with Portland, but teams need that step back three and the breather for their top point guard. The key for Perrantes will be being able to do the one other thing that has kept Blake on the floor. Blake has managed to average 4 assists per game over a career almost exclusively as a backup.

Both of the comments seemed out there and unnecessary. Just statements that added nothing, could have been removed and not missed. Simply jabs at a person, and a group of persons, that are not Marcus Vick.

Also, just got my 1000 turkey leg. That is cool. I don't comment a lot. But when I do I really try to not tear anyone down, support the players as persons with greater purpose than to entertain me, be positive, constructive, and thoughtful not just taking up space. I am glad to be apart of the community. 1000 feels good. Thanks!

Tinfoil hat time: I think that the NCAA is dragging their feet on this until after Roy retires, which they expect to happen in the next couple of years. It is also no coincidence that ACC Commissioner Swofford, being an UNC alum, may be using his influence to try to delay and/or deflect the hammer as much as possible. UNC getting the Death Penalty would severely impact the ACC, so he can say he is just doing his job by lobbying for a member institution.

Collins is a good read though, even if it is a bit dated. IMHO if you are leading an organization its gotta be on your 10 must read list. Peter Senge, Steve Covey, Malcolm Gladwell, Fisher and Ury; these are all authors that help shape the way I am in the world.

Edit: agree with Dan Pink mentioned above as well. Also a great Ted talk!!!

Let's be honest, the entire Kentucky roster is declaring because if you declare you get to work with your coaches for 12 hours per week during the offseason. Every coach in the country should be taking advantage of that loophole like Calipari is.

I don't know that he's a bad person, but he's got some impulse-control issues.

This latest issue sounds a bit like a cop was gunning for him. I mean, what started it? He wasn't doing anything, so it's like the cop either recognized him or ran his background for no reason. I'm guessing it caught him by surprise and he panicked.

No arguments with the character judgement, but interestingly enough, I was told by the long snapper (don't remember who he was or why I was talking to him at the time) that he actually had a great on-field work ethic. First to practice, last to leave, etc.

Real shame he couldn't be a good person.

Every single one is appreciated ! :--)

As of 4:29 PM Tuesday I now have over 40 turkey legs and am old enough to vote :--) Yeaaaah !!!! Thanks to all.

As much as it would hurt the ACC and therefore Tech, I really think UNC should get the death penalty for all sports. It was a systemwide cheating scandal that crossed pretty much all of their major sports programs. I do think punishing the players now for the fact that Julius Peppers cheated at UNC 15 years ago is a stretch, but it was a more than 15 period of wrongdoing.
