Just keep in mind that hating on a VT player is not a part of loving VT football. And never forget that recruits often follow current/former Tech players on social media. If I'm a recruit thinking about VT and watching VT fans publicly dump on VT players, I might think twice about coming to VT. I know it happens everywhere, but it still leaves a negative impression in the minds of others while accomplishing nothing of actual value.

I think Guitarman is more trying to say "hey, check out our guidelines" in a softer way than most. Whenever someone uses the "I have freedom of speech" argument they 9/10 turn into someone who spews wild claim and vitriol at teenagers over a sport that we are supporters of.
Behavior is rarely isolated to one instance. You were talking shit on IG and got called on it by Gayle. That should be the end of the story. You kept on and took a shot at Gayle. That's strike two. You went on to say you played at App State to give yourself credibility. No one is worried. You came here. You can say your buddy texted you but no one was going to go any deeper into what you said until you showed up making it about you. We were discussing that this kind of keyboard warrior hate is completely unnecessary in a fan base. Do you think Fuente is going to read that comment and go "Oh my god, get different pictures on Instagram, stat!"

I lived in Atlanta for a couple of years, and went to Mellow Mushroom a couple of times. I think it is totally overrated.

In basketball, you can't afford to give a charity scholarship on a chance that the player is good because of their pedigree like you can in football. They are much more valuable. Seth gave both Curry brothers a chance to prove they deserve a scholarship on their own accord. I don't know about you, but I'd rather know I've earned something than be given something because my daddy was important somewhere or to someone. Kinda marginalizes your abilities and accomplishments if the only reason you got somewhere, whether you were qualified or not, is because of connections your parents have.
Ironically enough, based on the few posts you've made on TKP, you don't seem like the type of person who'd call a player a bum on Tech's Instagram.

I like to make a positive spin on this. If Curry would have come and had as great a career as he did in Davidson then Greenburg would most likely still be the Head Coach and Buzz would never been an options. So in theory Seth not coming to VT was the greatest gift he could have given us.
some, non-expert opinions, like mine, put a ton of weight on what Dell did for VT. UNC missing on Steph will always be much less egregious than VT missing on Steph. Dell earned him that slot and maybe that's why it still stings with a lot of people, Dell included. As you can see from my username, I got to experience what Dell did for us first-hand. Not only was that worth his scholly, it was worth at least one more.
I'd still be pissed off too, if were Dell and Steph.

Benedictine kids are going to be hard to pull for a variety of reasons it's not a reflection of VT or its coaches past or present.
Its insane to me to see Duke pulling 4* defensive players out of VA over us. Just another reminder of where recruiting and the program have to come back from.

Hence why I get so frustrated when people dump on the kid rather than analyze technique and success. When I am critical of one of the player's execution, THE BEST POSSIBLE thing that could happen is that the kid plays awesome and proves me wrong. Some folks seem like they would rather have these kids fail just to validate their opinion rather than being critical of mistakes and rooting for them to improve.
Also, folks like Jerry are going to be real disappointed when, yes, I said when Motley wins the first string spot this spring.

Benedictine has long had a reputation for producing good players that end up at Ivy or "public Ivy" type schools. That's part of the whole reason lots of athletes end up at Benedictine in the first place, as it's a great private school with lots of in-roads to elite higher learning institutions.
