I thought the offensive team chemistry was pretty good down the stretch, but we definitely have quite a bit to work on when it comes to defensive chemistry/rotations.
Not sure anything has totally been rebuilt yet. The promise is there to become a competitive program and if he stays, it will be rebuilt and get there. But if he leaves, we have to hope the next coach can carry it forward, otherwise it could be a bit of a slump before rebuilding begins anew.
Any way I can Escape out of here?

A lot of heart and character on this team, hoping Buzz hangs around but feel future is bright. Whit will keep the program on the right track!
That's always the round of death, not surprised that it went the way it did. Tech has really turned it around in the consolations though. If they can keep it up during the morning session tomorrow I think we may actually make a top 5 finish. That would be a big step for the program.

Knew it when it went final, just shook my head, drained my glass and turned off the television. So ridiculous that a game like that comes down to one possession. Your head will be spinning with all the what ifs where each case extends or ends the game in our favor. No technical on their coach, no bad two possessions by Blackshear, any endless number of fouls called or called and one, the foul called that gave them three free throws where the whistle happened after the ball had been rebounded, the no call when their big man managed to go one dribble from the three point line, Wilson foul called correctly as a charge, technical fouls called on the several occasions they struck Hokie players above the neck, or cut Blackshear above the eye when they kicked him in the head, somewhere in there I imagine there might be three points

Really tough to see KJ and Robinson struggle tonight, but we saw about both ends of the spectrum with those guys. The thing I'm most upset by is the fact that we won't see any more basketball for a while, and that's OK.

And then the unnecessary aggressiveness when he didn't even call you a UVA fan. The frustration is completely understandable, we're all frustrated, but keep in mind we're all on the same team here. And I think this team has earned us believing they'll pull it out after the resilience they've shown all year long. I wasn't ready to give up hope until we trailed by 5 with 4 seconds left. Until then, I'm not counting this team out
I really like our chances of holding on to that 4 spot. Would be pretty sweet if we snuck ahead of Iowa. Penn State and VT both have 6 wrestlers still alive heading into tomorrow which is the most of any team. Now, if we can only get Penn State and Okie State to drop all their matches tomorrow and we can manage to have all of our kids take the consolation brackets and finish 3rd we can come home with that team title.

I hope Buzz keeps the buzz going for at least half a decade and we make multiple appearances in the NCAA tourney. I have nothing to say about the officiating because as a Hokie fan I'm used to it. In fact I've acknowledged it as part of our programs identity. Until something very serious is done behind the scenes (Hokie iluminati) it has been and will continue to be fact-of-reality. That's all. Next year, just fucking win.
Great effort by this team unfortunately the NIT favors the home team with lower ranked team having to do last minute traveling. It definitely was better for all, incubator fans when all games were played in New York. One venue, one location, one travel for all teams. Yes, the student are there as easily, but the teams are not jet-lagged.
I'm very proud of this teams effort and total team play. Who knows what next year holds. Whit better work hard to to keep Buzz, we want him to continue this magic!
