This basketball season has been great but its awesome to read something FOOTBALL again!! Good luck to all our guys, Go pro hokies!

Apparently he's very aware of the depth chart situation at FSU and it's a bit of a sticking point for him. If their #1 RB target commits before Laborn then that could help tremendously.

Yes, we need a few more years of Buzz before a major hick-up like this one would be.

Though I'm certain Whit would make the best of it, and at least Buzz showed something could be done in a short amount of time. In other words, that VT is serious about making some progress.

He is an excellent coach, and I'm hoping he's not going to leave. But, with what he did in a short time is amazing and garners attention. I don't think it is something easily repeated or just the "right mix" on the court under his toolage. I hope Whit has done his homework to keep him securely in the Bburg for quite some time. (Remember, 1 season does not make a dynasty)

I agree with @HokieJeep....

Let's beat Princeton!

Don't forget we lined Dadi up at Whip LB against Pitt and used him as a pass rushing specialist in the 2013 game. Coverage remains to be seen, but if a team is looking for a guy they can use to cause havoc off the edge he's a pretty good choice whether he has a hand on the ground or not.

Haha I wish but with the sport I played at Tech (not football) our coaches actually didn't let us play any intramurals throughout the year. However after I graduated I did take a job as an intramural coordinator at a small college for a while so I got my fill of intramural sports then.

If you hadn't mentioned that about the soccer team I would have thought someone on here was a MAJOR creeper...and then the laughs set in once I saw that. Kudos to you my good sir (and I know who this is now...), my hilarious moment of the month just happened.

No, no and no again. Buzz should have thought of his family before taking the VT job and thereby acquiring a much larger family that depends on him. His immediate biological family is financially taken care of, provided with privilege and prestige far outpacing any normal person's needs and well compensated in every way. Buzz owes us nothing more than a job of work, I know that, but he does owe us that, in my opinion. All that feel good Christian stuff is fine and dandy, but there is more to life than those in your household. To me, the job he took made VT and Blacksburg important in his life, he in theirs, and he should honor the community at large.

When these guys retire, that will be another fun milestone to point out. "No active NFL player who played at LOLUVa knows what it's like to beat Virginia Tech."

There are 4 of 19 currently on NFL rosters:
Ahmad Brooks, 49ers (Started in the NFL in 2006)
Chris Canty, Ravens (2005)
D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Jets (2006)
Matt Schaub, Falcons (2004)

mock drafts had him going to seattle, I would really like that fit. They love rotating players and have a HUGE need for a pass rusher
