A few botched dates, that included running out of gas on a lonely stretch of Texas highway
"botched?" Sure. OK. More like "brilliant"

So her whole family must be in Texas...
From playerwives.com
"Buzz Williams' wife Corey (Norman) Williams is a bit of an athlete herself. And when we say a bit, we mean a lot. Growing up in Amarillo, TX, Corey attended Randall High School and ran track and field and cross country. Standing only 5'3, you might think that she was limited to running sports โ but you'd be wrong. Corey was also a star guard, good enough to lead Randall to the 1992 Texas state championship, earning a finals MVP along the way. She attended two colleges, Barton County Community College in Kansas and Missouri-Kansas City, before finally transferring to her home state Texas A&M Kingsville to play for the Javelinas where she eventually earned Texas Player of the Year honors.
Texas A&M also happened to be where Buzz Williams was the assistant coach โ and it didn't take long before Buzz asked Corey out. A few botched dates, that included running out of gas on a lonely stretch of Texas highway, led to a proposal a year later. Buzz Williams was married to Corey Norman in late 2000 while he worked for Colorado State. Buzz and Corey now have four children: daughters Addyson & Zera and sons Calvin & Mason."
I have no doubt Dadi will play in the NFL as a special teams player. How many snaps he gets on defense will depend on how he can transition to OLB. Some guys have done it and some have not.
I probably know 50+ people, many Americans, that have traveled to North Korea and not been arrested.
This shocks me, in neither a positive or negative way. I find it fascinating, I guess I am less well-traveled and versed in the "Why people want to go to North Korea" concept.
Go play intramurals, Brother!
Definitely staged. Looks like a poorly made movie, including bad acting and a cheap set.
Funny you should say dat. I was in Moab Utah in the fall, back during our Michael Vick run to the Natty Champy Sugar Bowl, and we were watching the Thursday night game against, I believe, West VA. I went to the can, and as I passed the bar on the way back to the table to the four folks who were actually watching the game, this drunk guy did a double take on my VT hat. He looked at me, looked at the television, then looked back at me and said, "Man, I didn't know Vermont even had a football team". I clued him in, told him about Vick and declared that that was our year and that they would remember me come the Championship Game. He was glazed over and like, uh huh, but I'll bet someone at that bar remembered my declaration come New Years. I know I have related this tale on TKP before, so forgive me if you've heard it, but it was a moment I'll never forget.
Sure hope I am wrong, but I agree, the wording of his comments not good for Hokie fans. The tone reminds me of the somewhat positive but noncommittal comments big recruits make...then ultimately go with a different program.
In general I understand the "best for wife and kids" but even with the vast improvements this year, I don't think the program has really become nationally relevant which I would have thought would be a major goal for a driven coach like Buzz. And he is certainly making enough money here to have many visits back and forth b/t his family and extended family.
My takeaways:
Malleck made some money today with those 4.6's, Steelers would be a great fit.
JC Coleman definitely at least put himself on the NFL radar, impressive all around performance.
Dadi, ran faster today, Colts scout clocked a 4.51, looks incredible and up to almost 240. Definitely a boom or bust kind of guy, but in the right system he could be a great asset.
From what I know and from ppl that are close to the family...they truly enjoy the area. I do not think there are any legs to this rumor. But I've been wrong before. #sauces
Ok so now I'm wondering how many LOLUVA players are left in the NFL that have ever actually won against the good guys (if any). I know somebody out there is bored enough at work to look this up for me.
Nice report, good luck boys. Hopefully each of you latch on somewhere...
Man, Heath Miller. that guy was on the last LOLUVa team to beat tech. He's been in the NFL forever.
If I remember correctly, you can't have any varsity athletes play intramurals in their sport
You're correct. However I doubt many coaches let their players play intramurals during the semester that their actual sport is being played anyways. (ie. football and flag football in the Fall semester)
Looks like Jesus, throws like Mary.
This sounds plausible.
As it should. Well played. Quick side story, but as a result of that time spent trying to find info on "Malcolm Bloe", google led me to LB JaWand Blue, one time late signing day flip to Miami. I had forgotten about him and his story, apparently a few years ago he admitted to sexually assaulting a 17 yr old girl along with another UM Linebacker at the time. Couldn't be more glad that low life didn't come to VT.
there's a limit to the number of varsity athletes you can have on a team, in a sport that they don't play at the varsity level (Settle can play basketball, but not with too many other guys from the team). If I remember correctly, you can't have any varsity athletes play intramurals in their sport (Settle cannot play intramural flag football)
I refuse to sign up for tidal... guess I won't be listening to this one.
well now everyone knows. Maybe you'd be able to afford a basketball ticket if you didn't drive that gas guzzler of a pickup? This creepy internet moment brought to you by guys on your rec soccer team who recognized your email address...
That's all I recognized but then again those two guys are pretty recognizable.
Thank you for wasting 10 minutes of my time as I tried to find information on Malcolm Bloe.
This gives me an inordinate amount of pleasure.
Edmunds2, Settle....anybody else I should know?
I agree. Someone said on another thread that his wife is not happy in Blacksburg. They did not provide any #sauces, but it still has me worried.
Oh well. For now, Beat Princeton! That is all LeDay, Allen, Robinson, Bibbs, Hudson, Wilson, Blackshear, Clarke, etc. are doing.

The Ole run out of gas trick uh.
