My (uniformed) guess is that when Frank first got here, Pro Day wasn't near the spectacle it is now. Should he have opened it up later in his career? Probably. But things were working out pretty well for Frank, so my guess is he just didn't think a change was necessary.

Thank you for wasting 10 minutes of my time as I tried to find information on Malcolm Bloe... Could you imagine, "Hooker drops back to throw it deep to a wide open Bloe...Bloe halls in the pass from Hooker for a touchdown...That pass was on Bloe quicker than a Hooker's nostrils."

I agree, I think he's honest that he doesn't comment on the rumors. His answer was the honest one, the same answer any family man would say: I will make any decision with the best interest of my family as the primary factor.

Nobody knows what that means. Could mean more money, could mean good Montgomery County schools, could mean getting closer to Texas, could mean not uprooting your kids after two years.

You know, I disagree with that way of thinking. Buzz came to VT for a reason, and if he didn't think of his family at that time, why give him the pass now? Extended family members move, die, change their focus all the time. He will be screwing up many people by leaving now. With the money he makes, he can visit or have come to visit all the family he wants to be with. I know when I was younger, sticking tight to family was not my first consideration in life. I say if he bolts now, he's...well, I will reserve my condemnation for the moment, but he won't ever again be considered an honorable man at my house.

The big 12 is not easier to win than acc. Kansas has won the conference for 10+ straight years (I forget the exact number). The top end of the ACC coaches are going to retire soon, UNC/Duke/Syracuse... that may open things up a bit.

NC State has a QB commit in Matt McKay and Notre Dame has 4-star Avery Davis visiting this weekend. ND told Hooker it's between the 2 and it's on a "first come, first serve" basis. Hooker plans to visit NC State this weekend and will be back at VT for a Spring Practice next Thursday and hopes to make a decision shortly after.

Yea with that many CB's it makes me wonder if we wont be hearing something soon.

I'm feeling pretty decent about Hunter too. His desire to represent his hometown and follow in the footsteps of guys like Kam makes me pretty hopeful.

I'm really not too hopeful with Laborn though. I really think the only chance we have of beating out FSU is if he is turned off by the large amount of competition he'll have in his own recruiting class there, although as it has been mentioned I don't expect a blue chipper like Laborn to be too scared. My hope though is FSU's RB stable combined with the fact that we didn't recruit a RB in the last class could be enough to give us some momentum. Besides the closest guy on our roster age wise is DMac who is a pretty similar size/style of back.

On Crosby I just don't feel like I have heard enough from him to really get a good grasp so who knows.

If someone told you "we want to hire you", what would your first response be?

Mine would likely be "What does it pay?" way before "I would never consider leaving here."

That does not mean I'm looking to leave, but does mean I'd like to know my market value, and that for the "right" number/situation I could be interested. Big difference.

Yeah holy crap a ton of crystal balls today. It was 60-40 VT a couple hours ago, now it's 80% VT....... Unreal.

This kid is Notre Dame's top QB target and we really might be about to snag him.... Let's gooo

I don't think Buzz's answer means anything. As he said, he does not dodge issues. I think he would give that same answer if he planned to stay for 20 years or had already decided to leave because any other answer would be inappropriate.
