Nerd, Nerd, Nerd. My side was picked when I joined this band of pirates, and I assure you I have seldom been accused of not having an opinion. Yesterday, I had chocolate pie, coconut pie, and for lunch, pizza pie. I read an article about Floozy's Pies in Louisa, and, well, generally celebrated pie day. It's just that I do abhor dissention in the ranks, and hate arguing with folks I tend to usually agree with. Call me a pacifist, call me crazy, but don't call me ambivalent. It's pie all the way, big feller, but I'm no fool. In the absence of acceptable pie, I will eat a well made layer cake, I will eat doughnuts, and I will eat Shoney's hot fudge cake, but when it comes to declaring allegiance, it is #teampie.

One big difference between Duke and Miami and Princeton is that Duke and Miami can really make you pay inside for trying to limit outside shooting, whereas Princeton will have less of a chance of doing so. We can maybe cheat out a bit without being overly vulnerable to the inside game. I think we have a game on our hands, and expect them to be hot shooters, but I also think we pack too much of a punch for them and win by ten or more. Really wish I could make the game, I think it'll be a real "happening" and a nice love fest for the guys.

I like watching the Princeton offense because it feels like there's an endgame. Constant motion, constant ball movement, actively trying to get someone open.

I watch some of these teams (like LSU) and it's a lot of dribble, dribble, dribble, and I'm thinking, "why is no one moving? Why is everyone just standing around and watching? Why is no one working without the ball?

He's currently 2nd asst. on Bobby Collins' staff at UMES. Can't imagine it'd take much to tear him away from that, especially an offer from VT. Typical MEAC assistants are only around the $45-70K range, depending on the school and which # asst. one is. He tried to get on prior to Frankie Allen's final year there and he turned him away. SMDH. Ace knows his stuff.

I agree with this if Buzz were to leave, but how long has Chew worked under Buzz? I'm sure he would at least deserve a look for learning under him for so long, even though the last time we tried that with JJ, it didn't necessarily work. Buzz is on a much different level than Greenberg was as a coach though, and if Chew has been there too then I would expect he knows what it takes to be a head coach, albeit inexperienced.

[sighs] This again. Look, if you'll kindly observe the above comment that clearly points out the PI in VPI, I'm sorry but case closed. Done deal. PIE first. PIE now. PIE forever. There is no CAKE in VPI.
