everyone wanted a blocking call so bad for about 3 seconds. Then we were just losing it for the trey.
I give you a leg for that chuckle sir!
You know what I say on this forum. Grassssssssssssss...tastes bad.
all in front of 60k fans... was a pretty wild one for sure.
They're Session tickets, or two game blocks. A session 2 ticket tomorrow night gets you in for the Clemson/GT game and ours.
I got married in the fall. It was a bye week.
Schedule wasn't announced, yet, when we booked, but we had to set a date nearly 18 months in advance because that's how popular the venue was, it meant a lot to my wife to have it there, and making her happy meant a lot more to me than a football game.
I actually think some people who I thought were close friends stopped talking to us afterwards because they resented we got married multiple states away. We didn't require anyone to come, and completely understood those who couldn't make it, but the entitled attitudes we got from some were appalling. We weren't planning this so those friends could make it, we planned it so my wife's family (the extended part of which are up there in age and unable to really travel around) could make it.
Just a word of caution. I know there's a lot of joking around going on in this thread, but seriously watch what you say should you be in a position where you're invited to a fall wedding. Don't be that entitled asshole who thinks the bride and groom should cater to you.
For the future, Verizon Center has its own parking underneath. It can be a little pricey but it's nice and convenient if you don't want to stress about it.
The "Lawson for starter" campaign is essentially based on an assumption that he's as good as everyone hyped him up to be.
While I agree completely I think this is also the case for Evans and somewhat the case even for Motley...
-Lawson has shown his stuff at the high school level and shown he has the raw talent and athleticism but as we all know high school success and raw talent doesn't always equate to success at the ACC level.
-Evans has shown his stuff at about a half of a level higher than Lawson (JUCO) but again, JUCO success and raw talent doesn't always equate to success at the ACC level. Honestly it seems that Evans is the frontrunner for so many because he's the shiny new toy on the roster.
-Now Motely has of course shown he can have moderate success at the ACC level, but as many Motley supporters are quick to point out Fuente's less cerebral system has the potential to cater more to his strengths. This is of course not even considering the improvements that he may make under the "QB Guru's" tutelage.
The point is that while we all have our opinions the reality is that there are still question marks with each candidate that will have to answer for them to really be able to make their case and earn that starting spot.
Now with all this said what is exciting to me is the amount of serious potential we have in these guys. As homer fans we often find ourselves making some pretty big leaps in an attempt to justify a players potential. However with these 3 guys we honestly don't have to do that. Even though there are some questions marks with each of them (which is basically always going to be the case with anybody at any position) I definitely think it's safe to say that with 3 guys, all with serious potential, all battling it out, that at the end of the day somebody is going to step up and do some big things for us this Fall.
The Orlando City v. RSL game is exactly why I love the MLS. Two red cards in the first half, a two goal deficit erased in stoppage time. No lead is ever safe in the MLS.
Edit: Highlights
Just to throw something out there because I dont really have a dog in the race, I hope its truly open and the best player takes the field, I think itll go to Evans more than likely, I think people are underselling him for some reason.
For reference:
In 8 games he threw for 3164 yards, that was good for 3rd most in the JUCO ranks, and the highest yards per game. He threw 38 touchdowns (also good for 3rd most in the league) to only 3 interceptions completing 62% of passes. Andrew Ford, someone we are all familiar with, against the same level of competition, only threw for only 1764 yards in 9 games with 23 touchdowns and 6 interceptions completing 56%. Also, Chad Kelly - whos been doing pretty well at Ole Miss - in 12 games threw for 3906 yards (5th overall) 47 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.
I have no idea what kind of offenses any of them ran, but it is something to compare it to until spring starts, also added Skyler Howard whos been doing pretty well at WVU, he was the number 1 ranked QB the year before.
| Player | Juco Rank | Pos Rank | Yds/Game | TD/Game | Com % | INT/Game |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jerod Evans | 4 | 1 | 395.5 | 4.75 | 0.624 | 0.375 |
| Andrew Ford | 76 | 5 | 196 | 2.5 | 0.564 | 0.67 |
| Chad Kelly | 57 | 1 | 325 | 3.9 | 0.669 | 0.67 |
| Skyler Howard | 56 | 1 | 262.6 | 2.75 | 0.654 | 0.5 |
How Kelly and Howard fared against FBS competition:
| Player | School | Yds/Game | TD/Game | Com % | INT/Game |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chad Kelly | Ole Miss | 311 | 2.38 | 0.651 | 1 |
| Skyler Howard | West Virginia | 241.9 | 2 | 0.548 | 1.08 |
Clearly Im not saying Jerod Evans is the front runner for the Heisman, but are we really the ones qualified to say he isnt the obvious runaway leader this early into preseason? I'll leave that to the experts and let you decide.
Those friends are the devil!

Dude, just imagine how I feel. I haven't done my morning treadmill work out in 10 years.
This is it... this might do it... finally, the thing that will get me off my butt and back to the gym.

So, I think the just realized that my cousin has scheduled their wedding for October. Here's hoping for the 8th or 15th.
I have no problem understanding what he's saying, and like I said, I know it is meant as praise. Just tired of hearing it every time I see Buzz interviewed after a game. Like I said, I am definitely nit picking. I, too, have known Napoleonic sorts who some might say overachieved because of a chip on their shoulder about not being taller, but making an issue of it didn't seem necessary, or prudent in some cases, but I'll just cringe slightly and as long as Buzz is being interviewed after winning yet another game, I'll live with it. Happily.
If we can get 2 years of a starting Evans followed by 2 years of a starting Lawson who would have 3 Spring practices under Fuente before he starts, I think that's ideal. Yes, that means redshirting Lawson this year, but he should have redshirted last year.
I lol'ed
Shades of Arnold himself.

As someone who grew up 20 minutes from Clemson with my 9th grade classmates telling me they were gonna probably beat us by 40, that was a perfect game.
Mike? Mike O'Cain? How you been, man?
"Hey, do you think our tight end can play quarterback?"
Aren't they the same thing?
Toronto FC! Season 10 - hopefully we will finally win a playoff game. C'mon you Reds!
I don't understand why Syracuse backed out of joining in '04. ACC expansion went from Miami and 'Cuse to Miami, VT and BC. Always seemed odd to me.
It has been amazing to watch Chicago turn on Goose Island after the AB-Inbev acquisition. Goose Island used to be Chicago's brewery, and basically all the beer snobs in Chicago (and there are many) have jumped ship to Revolution.

Yea I bought one too, I assume you just go to the address on the pass you print out and show it to the parking lot attendant?
