I wouldn't know Comey from Adam, but that quote, especially the part about Comey having a background in selling insurance, struck me more as an instance of a man who wanted to be wined and dined and given a sales pitch. From everything I've heard, it sounds like Burden is way more business, straight to the point, directly to the recruits themselves than treating the head coach as a gatekeeper. Burden's Twitter presence certainly seems to support a more direct approach to the players themselves.

Nothing against Comey, but his quote sounded more like he wanted to work with a recruiter who was going to go out to dinner and spend four hours just bullshitting. And in that regard, I definitely think Stinespring was cut from that cloth.

Alex you did a fantastic job composing this article with very refreshing material. I cannot recall a more detailed representation of HS coaches comments and thoughts from an event such as this. Of course I am biased, but in an effort to react objectively to the article, my feeling from the report reflected a growing confidence and positive trajectory from the new staff to the recruiting regions in VA. Me likey!

Great read, Alex. I am really interested to see how these initial interactions evolve into relationships over time. It is interesting to hear the perception of Scott, especially. As I read, it seemed to me that he was presenting as if he were the DC and running "his" defense. Managing that interaction between Scott, who is presumably in his current position to learn from Foster and likely be viewed as a successor, and Foster, who is actually in charge, will be a primary challenge for Fuente. I think we'll learn a lot about him as a result.

Awesome things to hear out of the coaches in the 757. Particular of note was that Comey said that CFB had basically just stopped coming there. I think that had to do some with the lack of top guys we were getting out of the 757. This new emphasis on relationships in VA is exciting. Glad to hear they all seem very impressed with CJF as well. Can't wait for spring ball and more important, Liberty. Go Hokies!

How unique is this? I couldn't picture Saban/Jimbo/Harbaugh taking the time, with their entire staff no less, to meet, greet, and teach about their respective philosophies, but they might do something similar.

I can really only imagine positives from taking such a personal approach to interact with coaches in the state. Well done, Fuente.

This is true. As difficult as it is to believe, a good bit of the problem has been created by providing TOO MUCH money to universities through student loans.

Student loans are breaking budgets of students and parents, and they're raising the cost of education, not lowering it.

If you want to raise the cost of something, make the funding unlimited, and make it really easy to get.

I agree. A couple more signature wins, an NIT bid, or a successful ACC tourney will put him there.

He's going to get there. No rush.
