It's been a long time since I have felt so good about the athletic program as I do now. Wrestling has been great, basketball has turned and is going up with Buzz and Fuente looks to be a great hire. This all centers around Whit and most of the credit goes to him. Great time to be a Hokie!
Yes, we get Pitt at home coming off of Duke and Miami at home coming off of Notre Dame. Anything could happen.

"I know a lot of people will say, 'Well, that's not going to happen,'" he said referring to the prospect of LSU football being hurt. "Well, that will happen if we don't have summer school. We'll only have half of our football team eligible."
This is going to be something to pay attention to.
That's right!
I save them to my computer which allows me to see more of the details
I get goosebumps thinking about our win later that day. "Whose your daddy?" to little Curry was brilliant.
It pains me to say it, but I'm not sure Buzz deserves ACC COY. I kind of view Buzz deserving of an award similar to "comeback of the year". COY is more of an MVP type of award, which I think he's well on his way of winning, but just not there yet.
Man, you did a hell of a job Alex. So did Fuente & Co, apparently.
This made me the most happy:
"Every year in the spring, we go to a coaching clinic at a different school, so back in September, we're sitting in the coaches locker room and we're talking about football and I asked the guys 'Where do you think you want to go this year?' And they all said 'Memphis,'" Irby said.
This is exceptional.
As much as Frank Beamer is known to have staked his name on a sense of family and community, Fuente seems to be expanding that tradition to the entire state of Virginia. I honestly don't think we could have made a better hire in terms of "fit."
Well this says a lot ABOUT how Buzz feels about the media. All of them including Berman and Bitter. Good for him.
Buzz lost respect for members of the local media because they accused him of certain things last year. Thus, they aren't getting any intel from him, and they aren't getting inside the circle.
Before the season, Donlon told me that Hill had worked all summer to become a good ball handler and knockdown shooter. He described Hill as a brand new player, and would be miles ahead of where he was as a freshman. Donlon was pretty spot on with his prediction with Blackshear's impact, so I trust his judgement
A thread praising UVA's fan enthusiasm? Nope, won't have it. Perverbial downvote.
Says someone who has a good hold on FSU recruiting and is normally pretty on point
.
Want his name and phone number too..damn
Yeah these are good points.. Related to FSU the past few years they have had a legit #1 rb and barely used a #2 so it's important to him(Laborn) that's all.
Apologies for the sass..

We already GAVE credit to that classy move by Cannady. That's all they get. That's all they need. It's all they deserve. Move along.
Great read Alex. This is probably my favorite TKP article I've read in the past 2-3 years. The quotes from the high school coaches were fantastic, and refreshingly honest. Well done!
Classic ESPN ACC bias

We were pretty good in '11 when Gameday went to Cassell.

Bottom line for me, my raison d'etre for being a subscriber to TKP & soon-to-be Key Play Club member is the theme of All Things Hokie. While we predominantly go with football & basketball, we still have openings for the other sports & especially when those teams are enjoying a modicum of success. Also, we have analysts that are second to none. I've learned more about the "in the trenches", X's & O's ( I get high, and I love to get low
So the hearts keep breaking, and the heads just roll
You know that's how the story goes) & have learned to respect those who have a different opinion or see things at an angle I wasn't thinking about. To me, All Things Hokies include anything & everything and there isn't much that's off limits. We have the administrators here to keep us in line if we go off the chain. So, having said that, if we collectively or individually talk about a sports analyst/journalist that has a burr under his/her saddle against the Hokies to include the University, then we have a forum here to do that.
I like Andy Bitter and enjoy his articles. But I, personally, will not stand by if he and others (Berman) unfairly (IMHO) attacks the Hokie Nation.
He's probably reading one of the great Shakespeare stories that he attached to the back of the poster.
love the pittsburgh zoo myself

There's a reason everyone takes I-81 to get from points south to NYC.
