Much better than going to Marshall, Purdue, ECU (Arrgg), etc. On top of being close to our largest alumni base, the recruiting potential is nice.
State government in Louisiana has a long and storied history of clusterfuckery.

Downvote for it being Maryland.
Guess it helps recruiting by playing games closer to recruits in NoVa, Maryland, D.C. etc. I like seeing old rivalries from previous conference foes, but this excites me as much as a 4 game slate against Rutgers.
Give me PSU, Mich State, Wisci etc. (And yes, I know they have to agree to play us and have an opening for this to happen)
I'm ok with this, adds a P5 team to the scheduled and gets Hokies a game where a ton of alums and fans live within easy driving distance.
