I got into VT not more than a month after UVA beat us the last time and got so much crap. Ever since then:

Nah, LeBron is just Magic Light

(This is by no means directed at your daughter. Think of it as Joe's princess alter ego speaking directly to you.)

This is probably the thread you're referring to:
http://www.thekeyplay.com/virginia-tech-football-recruiting/2015/06/9498...
Since he enrolled in JUCO, he has to graduate and therefore isn't eligible for D1 ball for 2 years. We didn't pull his offer or anything, he just didn't qualify. So he's got to get his grades in order before we can consider him again, which won't be for a while.
Like the opener but you could use a good manicure.
We do far better against ranked opponents than UT has. If MoD wants to change that "Ranked" to "Top 5", he may have a point. (Table 4)
So I dont think this storm warrants its own post like the last one, because well frankly its gonna be tough to live up to that hype again
I'll have a much better look at it tomorrow but for now it looks like a few inches of snow early in the morning switching over to freezing rain and ice. I just dont think its going to stay cold enough deep enough in the troposphere for it to stay as snow. This is all subject to change too of course, as you saw my updates moved around a good bit with that mondo storm we had.
Regardless for much of the Shenandoah Valley region I'd expect probably 3" of snow with about a tenth of an inch of ice on top (if that honestly). Further north up towards DC you're probably looking at less snow and more ice.
Mountains of North Carolina you are also looking at some ice, as is much of that region (if you just cut a straight swath following the Shenandoah Valley up into Pennsylvania). Basically straight through the heart of Maryland into Pennsylvania!
If you guys have any more questions or want some more updates letme know! I'll post something tomorrow after weather watch (Wisconsin has two pretty big name dudes give a briefing every friday, its pretty fun) and I'll keep an eye on it but the primary concern of this storm is definitely ice. Wouldn't look for to much snow

I agree with almost everything you said, but I do take exception to some of the last bit. The law should be there to protect OTHERS from your negligence, which is how it is written and enforced in other states. But Virginia has had cases where there was no danger posed to anyone, or the property of anyone, except the individual charged. The purpose of law is not to protect people from themselves, but to ensure that the rights of others aren't infringed upon.
Wilt balled out. Period. That's what is expected of a player. It's not his job to build a complete roster. That's on the GM. It's not his job to create an offense more complex than "fuck it, give the ball to Wilt." That's on the coach. Arguably, he did elevate the rosters he was on. Teams he played on missed the playoffs exactly once. His teams consistently made deep runs. Really hard to argue that they'd have done the same without him there shattering record books. So I stand by my original point. To determine the greatness of a player, look at his individual stats and achievements, not ring count. Christ, Scottie Pippin has 6 rings. Ain't anybody talking about him in the GOAT conversation.
I like your idea for Thompson Field. Having been born and raised in Charlottesville, Klockner Stadium is my only frame of reference for collegiate soccer/lacrosse fields apart from Thompson. They have a huge bleacher section on one side and the south endzone and west side people sit on the hills. I think more bleachers would make Thompson Field more attractive for our women's soccer team, hopefully improve the men's team, and help the lacrosse team.
My top 5 are:
1. Michael Jordan
2. Lebron James
3. Kareem-Abdul Jabbar
4. Magic Johnson
5. Kobe Bryant
What malfunction did it have? Seems like any loaded gun firing when the trigger is pulled is pretty much exactly what it is designed to do. The statistics show that the likelihood of a gun "just going off by itself" is exceedingly rare, and by that I mean most gun accidents usually mean accidentally pulling the trigger.
The reason there is a law concerning it is so hopefully people will take the utmost care and caution when handling a deadly weapon. Hopefully Morgan will be perfectly fine, and fortunate that the results wern't much worse for him or someone else.
i stopped reading after the slurping on kobe.
All we have to do is get over this last Winter hump until we can get to Spring. If you can make it from six to midnight, it's usually a good day.
lol
What about a patty melt, or when you add a hot dog (sliced side ways) to a grilled cheese sandwich? Or if it is a brat instead of a hot dog? I contend that if you are drunk, and put a cut up hot dog on a hamburger patty with cheese, pickles and chili in the middle of a roll you made a sandwich. I mighty fine one at that.
Have you seen the evidence? Cmon man as an ex Leo you know how this goes. And unfortunately a lot of this is coming from the Texas end so like I said until I see actual evidence, I will withhold judgement.

# | Hokies Stage Eating Contests, Cornhole Tournaments to Impress 2017, 2018 Recruits on Junior Day After the Eisenhower controversy a lot of Ambrose's work has become heavily discredited
He is being fired from UT and has an NCAA investigation right now, if Whit and Fuente hire him they don't get Hokie Nation or P5 college football really. Why would you hire a guy who could have a show cause on him in next season?
And just to show how BS all this is, everyone goes on about Olajuwon an ONeal which were some of the best all time, but not one mention of Karl Malone. All three had 18-19 season careers, yet Malone had almost 10,000 MORE points, over 1,000 MORE rebounds, and 2,000 MORE assists. The dude averaged a double double for his career yet was not Mr Flashy and gets no love (the life of a mailman i guess...)
Comparing players of different eras is hard enough, but as you age, the romanticizing of players is almost impossible to overcome. That is not to knock anyone, its just tough. Somebody on FB the other day was saying Steph Curry is already and all-time great, and somebody replied with Isiah Thomas's 1st three year stats side by side and Thomas was better in almost every category.
Until I actually see evidence that he broke a rule I'm not holding judgement! And fwiw he may very well be our next db coach. He did work for Fu at Memphis. But like I said until I see evidence, I will not write him off.

My roommates's graduation was held in cassel a few years ago. They had a power outage earlier that day, and had to delay walking because it takes over 30 minutes to boot up the lights.
I know the UK entrance in the link below is over kill, but I'd love to leverage the lights to give the basketball team their own unique entrance:
