I've never followed the MLS closely whatsoever. I do remember watching Freddy Adu at DC United in his early days when he was supposed to be the greatest player on the planet in a few years. I also like DC United for their tribute jerseys to VT after the 4/16 tragedy.
I'm thrilled with the win. But can we please stop giving up leads late in games? Anyway, great win against a quality opponent. Still hopeful for an NIT bid.
@marcb2 You're #drunj
We don't Foster bad friendships here. You are still good with us all.
You are more than welcome. I swear half the football team was on intramural basketball teams. I had to call a travel on backup center Rashad Ferbee when he was trailing a breakaway and got a pass dropped off for him but needed about six baby steps to slow down enough to shoot it. He was pretty mad about it, but his teammates were laughing him out of the gym. My proudest moment was giving Chris Tucker a technical for slamming the ball after I whistled him for a foul. I was secretly hoping he would have kept mouthing off so I could have given him an MLB ump style ejection. Josh Morgan was also damn good on the hardwood. I stayed after my games were over to watch a couple of his games.
Orlando City!
They were opportunities but so was Clemson considering they were tied for third in the acc until today. May still be with the UNC loss to the Irish.
Just call me Ms. Mia Culpa.

I think Pitt and Cuse were very important opportunities to make statements about the post season.
Losing to ND, Duke, Heels and even L'ville is respectable, but how do we do against middle of the pack and on a short turnaround?
Gray skies seem to have cleared up.
(Too soon?)
I love all those quotes from Williams about LeDay.
Being at most of the games this season, and the past few seasons, I really think things are starting to turn at Cassell. I can't remember having as good of a crowd in the last five years (actually almost full, minimal opposing fans). The non-students are coming out in force, now the athletic department just needs to bring back the stand-by line for students so we can fill in the corners.
I was at this game and it was a damn good time. Cassell was rocking pretty hard. I was super glad that, other than a few missed rotations on the outside, our D played pretty outstanding all game long. This team doesn't win pretty, but they'll get after ya.
One of the most critical things LeDay did at the end of the game was not only make foul shots but make the front ends of the 1 and 1 shots.
Really starting to like this team. It's not always pretty but they never quit. The future is bright.
this is a tremendous write up, and damn i love how passionate Buzz is. i can't wait until Cassell is full and bouncing like that every game!
Leg for "nucleating", as if you needed it. :-P
Was biting nails listening to this one on the radio towards the end of my shift. Great way to end the work day.
Well, this weekends offers shed some light. Hokies offered two WR's for 2017-- 6'3" Trey Blount and 6'0" Austin Connor. Obviously since they are young they could still grow a little.

Great game, great atmosphere, great heart all around by the team.
That too. Great work tonight, VT crowd! Now let's sell out the last home game of the year!
Great win tonight, even better work by Seth Allen. The pass he made late in the shot clock to Hudson for an easy bucket was a pass he wouldn't have made even two weeks ago. Buzz even called it the play of the game.
Great tweet here by @KevaneyMartin that includes Buzz's audio playing overtop the highlight:
Here is the play that @TeamCoachBuzz called "the play of the game." pic.twitter.com/wcga3CIbWY— Kevaney Martin (@KevaneyMartin) February 7, 2016
Before the Pitt/Syracuse/Clemson stretch of games I wondered if we could sneak out a win in one of those three. I really thought it could be signs of a step forward if we did. Man am I happy we got the W today.
Hop pellets are just compressed hops. You can use whichever form you can get.
Use the recommended temp range for the yeast you get. Aim for the lower end of that recommended range.
Also, that mash temp is quite high. Cheat lower and do not go above that.
You can start slower and sneak up to it.
Stir the rice hulls in with the mash grains.
roasting the grains adds in a little fresh roasted the same as fresh toasted bread.

As a recent grad, I was explicitly told NOT to say anything other than "Virginia Tech" in resumes, applications, interviews, etc. Though my diploma does list VPISU.
The simple fact is people without ties to the university see VPISU and assume it's some small no-name school in Virginia. People see "Virginia Tech" and know it's a major university. You really only know they're the same thing if you or somebody close to you went here.
