Great match; had my 5 year old, 3 year old, 2 year old and 9 week old all cheering them on! Victory is ours! (Feels good to beat PITT in something)
How he only got one stall call in regulation is beyond me. That other guy took two shots the entire match and did nothing but defend everything Ty did.
I think that is why Dennis has had such a long leash, but I think Whit is starting to look into with the way ACC play is going. With the shenanigans currently going on in the ACC, there is no reason we couldn't have a team in the top half of the ACC. Obviously national title is a pipe dream, but competing in the ACC and making the NCAAs and WNIT should be the goal like when Bonnie was here.

He may be athletic but he never was able to put it together at the college level
They have that capability now for wrestling, volleyball, baseball/softball and basketball. What doesn't get aired on ESPN3 is usually on the hokiesxtra app. Golf would probably be the hardest sport to add since not many matches are played at Pete Dye and other various factors.
That is in the works and was originally scheduled for this summer, but looks like they are waiting until the reseating the following season to avoid pissing off too many people multiple times.
Last I heard is the NC State match will be on their version of HokieXtra (and free unlike UVA)

Waltz did well to be so aggressive throughout or he probably would of dropped that one.

It's ironic you picked out Ford for your example, because while you're right that he did get stronger, he has been one of the main players talking about how much more intense the S&C sessions have been than ever before. I've heard several players echo this sentiment that the intensity and accountability is higher than ever and several recruits stated the players told them the same thing also. The thing is, it's not "piling on" the old staff, it's just true apparently.
Too bad this match had to come on the same night #3 Ohio State and #1 Penn State were wrestling or we might have actually made the TV slate for ESPN rather then the internet feed.

Prior to last season, the issue wasn't scheme. It was DL getting out of their pass rush lanes and leaving huge holes.
In 2015, i +t was simple math-
(Use formation to get Bud to line up in Bear) + (Injuries force Bud to play man with a deep safety means no numerical advantage in the box) + (Counter-block to key DL to slant away from the play) + (Without numbers advantage, DL and LBs have to dominate physical battles. They didn't) = QBs running for big yardage.

The reality is, when teams have good scheme to run the QB and have a good athlete playing a position, they spread the D out and then outnumber them in the box. 6 D in the box, vs 6 blockers and a runner- the O is going to win a bunch. ECU and Duke did exactly that.

How many position coaches are at their alma mater? A pretty small percentage. A whole bunch of stars have to be in line for that to happen - and one of those stars just retired.
These guys are doing what's best for them - on both sides of the equation. Coming back to their alma mater is a very minor factor - especially when it's to work a new coach who doesn't give a hoot that they are an alum.
Bronco only retained Hagans. So yeah, he isn't employed by UVA. I wonder why he hasn't been picked up... Unless he has already and no one knows
