Yup. Unless you are going against someone who is outstanding on top, you are most likely going to get the escape point. The key is to do it without giving up the minute of riding time.
edit: The part of the strategy that still eludes me is why some wrestlers ride as long as they do. I get it at first going for the flip, but if it doesn't happen in the first 20 seconds of a ride, its highly unlikely you are going to make it happen. It seems to me that your odds are better cutting the guy lose and getting another TD and hopefully catching your opponent in an even worse position.

No worries, I'm a nerd. I was just appreciating it.
You sound like an... insider!

Im in denial too, I bet hes still on the team, I bet hes in class right now and looking forward to the upcoming season and contributing to a solid O-line.
:D
Go'On Clemson get outchyea, Go'ON GIT!
I dont like the thought of them having a strong foothold in the 757, Florida State already has been pushing in.
We have to get the turkey emoji out there, even some of the coaches don't use it.
Just playing devils advocate here, but there is such a thing as overworking players. Can't just go assuming things without knowing the whole story.
I think this is fair. I have to believe that if we see an improvement on the field that will yield positive results on the recruiting trail.
2017 Ocean Lakes 4-star DT Eric Crosby released an early top five in no particular order.

Dude needs to go to UVA, then. If you come to VT, you are expected to bust your butt and earn the right to play. Your stars and recruiting hype doesn't "entitle" you to start, unlike, well, like I said already...
Got to like his last couple tweets.

No room to disagree. Their CB don't hold much traction, but figured I'd share.
Yes, the training staff was made aware that this would be taking place and have adjusted accordingly.
Pretty sure Wolfolk decommitted before Fuente came. Greene was let go from my understanding
I'm looking forward to that. I've managed to learn the basics, but the strategy still eludes me. I'm sure you're going to cover it, but I've often wondered why so many wrestlers choose the down position when given the option at the start of a new round. Is it just for the chance to score quick escape or reversal points?
Ahmed and Jeff believe everything a recruit tells them. They CB Yulee and Beckett to Maryland, said Lindsey Scott and Keandre Jones were locks.
Fuente selling what Sarah Palin would call "hopey-changey."

I get that but bowl prep would have been under Beamer and Co. so I guess it would depend on when he left.
And I guess we didn't regain Troy Pride. He told TKP a few times he'd recommit to Tech as long as Torrian Gray was back, but he opted for Notre Dame. Really can't fault Fuente for it though. Honestly, I don't think we can fairly judge Fuente's recruiting prowess until the 2018 class. I hope to see an uptick in 2017, then real progress the following year.

# | Justin Fuente's Playlist, "Blue Collar" Style Impress Florida Visitors on Big Recruiting Weekend I'll be very glad when this recruiting cycle is done. In the future we should largely have the class wrapped up by this point
Victor Greene decommitted because his scholarship was not likely to be renewed with Fuente, Myles Wolfolk flipped to UNC, and Phillip Patterson decommitted but then recommitted a month later.
Gobblertown is reporting he is no longer enrolled, have heard rumors that he was planning to stay enrolled though
