The old Merton Hanks celebration. I thought I read that he came up with that while watching Sesame Street with his child or something.
If you like Isbell you should check out his last album Southeastern, my favorite by far.
Also the Drive By Truckers was a band he was in and while a little more southern rock oriented than alt country, still some good stuff.
Ryan Bingham is also pretty good, a little more traditional but still alt country.
That "I Keep Forgettin'" loop that WatchESPN plays at every commercial break. It's all I need. /s
Fuck. This. Is. Horrible. I don't ....
It's a good stipulation. The college vs. NFL distinction invariably comes up, because, believe it or not, this topic has been started twice.

I thought adding the NFL stipulation made things a little more interesting. I figured almost all VT Football Mt. Rushmore lists would start with Beamer, Smith, and Vick only leaving one spot for everyone to discuss.
It's a shame that McCaffery didn't play for an SEC team, because then maybe he would get the respect that his absolutely ridiculous amazing season deserved
That offer came from Kansas. Yeah, that Kansas.
And just to clarify, that'd be 65 points, not 65 yards.
I know nothing about Swasey, but if the the idea of strength and conditioning is to develop athletes and prepare them for games, I wouldn't look too hard at a guy who was fired from a program famous for wasting top talent and being unprepared.
The question made sense to me, but some of the answers lead me to believe not everyone interpreted it as intended .... To state the OP's question a little differently: what 4 Tech players do you believe went on to have the best NFL careers?
While TN was beating the pulp out of NW today all they said about TN was that next year they will be Alabama. (I paraphrase). I hope BCorn is ready to hang 65 on the Vols!
I HATE the Stanford "band"
Major depression at the 'ol homestead this evening. My Hawkeye bride & I were hoping for a better showing by the boys from Iowa City.
I would do it if they both agreed to come together, Joshua might be the better potential talent. Just needs to add some weight.
Very good post right here.
I don't know what I missed, but they panned waaaay the hell out on the Stanford band and I laughed my ass off anyway. It started off with the face of a cowboy and a galloping cow going across the field.
The NFL requirement doesn't make any sense.
If you're doing a Mount Rushmore for Hokie Football, Beamer's head better be up there.
Your memory is lacking. Duke was very good under Bill Foster before Coach K. Foster (not the one that coached at VT) was lured away by South Carolina with big $$.

Vick and Smith are obvious. After that I think you could make arguments for and against just about anyone. Arians has two Super Bowls as assistants but outside of that he hasn't put himself on the map like others have. That could change this season though. Graham is a hell of a guy who has stuck it out through a lot but there's a reason he hasn't had the career others have. Duane Brown is steady but doesn't have the name others due since he's a Lineman. Chancellor seems like a nod. So I'd say Vick, Smith, Brown, and Chancellor.
+1 for Herman's Hermits, lol! My husband and I walked, or rather, skipped, down the aisle to "I'm Into Something Good".
Make that 66-0 through six quarters. RT @SBNRecruiting: Big Ten title game participants current combined bowl score: down 59-0. Lol.

I don;t mind after TD's but in the NFL its every play. A defensive guy makes a play he goes over the top, a WR makes a play same deal. Gets old. After a TD, I can see it though.
