I agree with the premise of your post. I do want to add that Tech has a separate staff position for nutrition. The S&C staff and nutrition staff need to work together in order to build effective, individual nutrition plans that complement the player's S&C plan.

Stronger than Luke
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's not kid ourselves here. Once Luke becomes one with the force she may exceed his Grandmaster status, and she may (possibly) be further along than he was in A New Hope. But as you so blatantly pointed out, no training=limit to control (even when focusing). By ROTJ Luke was not only a full-fledged Jedi knight, but it could also be argued that he was almost at Jedi Master.
XMU played 4th & Roebling on rotation for awhile but I wasn't that impressed. Then I listened to the entire album and it was great!
Ickes was awesome on The Bluegrass Album. I haven't listened to a lot of bluegrass since I stopped DJing an Americana slot on WUVT many years ago but I always preferred Rob Ickes to Jerry Douglas. Much respect for learning to play the dobro. Very hard instrument to play well.

Agreed, but they help play a part in players getting inducted to the HOF, plus I posted it before he added the rest of the stats.

Biggest disappointment: Eric Church - Mr. Misunderstood; I like all of his previous albums, and this one was unremarkable at best.
Mine would be: Smith, Hall, Vick, Graham, but you could argue for quite a few others in that mix. Really depends on the day...
Not sure if this deserves its own thread. The overnight rating for the CFP semifinals are out, and they are TERRIBLE.
As in, down more than 1/3 compared to last year.
The difference? Last year, both semis were on New Years Day. But strangely enough, people decided they had other things to do on New Years Eve this year.
I didn't watch a down of either semi. I followed the score on my phone while ringing in the new year. And apparently so did everyone else.
Expect immediate changes to the rotation of the semis, so they're always played on New Year's Day.
Pro bowls have become a name recognition contest.
Haven't seen it on here but Lovetap by Smallpools was great all the way through. Anybody who listens to alternative music has heard "Dreaming" by now, but there are some other gems on there as well.
We'll just have to build a rotunda or some sort of "capital district" full of memorials for all the rest that won't fit on the mountain. And a wax museum in Paris.
The Wonder Years album is awesome. Cigarettes and Saints has been one of my favorite songs for months now.
Kylo Ren's entire character arc is inner conflict. He's pulled in two different directions the entire movie. I think he's a vergence in the Force just like his uncle and grandfather. When he has the conversation with Vader's burnt helmet, he mentions feeling the pull of the light. He's walking the mirror image of Anakin's arc from the prequel trilogy.
Rey, on the other hand, is 100% on the light side. And just from what we've seen in TFA, she is REALLY strong in the Force. Stronger than Luke, considering the powers we've seen her use without any training just by focusing her mind and using the Force.
Ren, being conflicted, falters in the presence of a powerful light sider. He feels the pull of Rey, and a part of him wants to succumb to it.
Also keep in mind, Kylo Ren isn't even fully trained yet himself.
Have you made it out to see any of the HMBWT shows that Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers have done? Great stuff.
It's a great album, but I'd still give the edge to Flamingo. Especially the deluxe edition. Absolutely brilliant album.

Jeff the Brotherhood - Wasted on the Dream
The most polished album from JTB, with a few great songs and only a couple of studio driven ones that keep this from being even better.
Windhand - Grief's Infernal Flower
Probably my favorite Doom album of the year, not quite as good as Soma was but pretty fantastic and does Richmond proud once again.

Some great songs here like Children of Children, the title track and 24 Frames and just a step back from Southeastern which is an all time classic.
The Mountain Goats - Beat the Champ
Lyrically the most in depth concept album I heard this year. While at first glace an album about wrestling might seem simple but the songs are anything but if you get into John's lyrics.
Lord Dying - Poisoned Alters
My riff of the year probably came from Darkness Remains, but overall a great sophomore effort with tons of sludge metal goodness for all.
Ryan Bingham - Fear and Saturday Night
Another great alt country album by a guy who always seems to have a highlight or two up his sleeve.
Weedeater - Goliathan
Dixie and company brings another great stoner/sludge metal effort here with a solid effort all around, still I wish they could convey their live shows into the albums.

My Morning Jacket - The Waterfall
A righting of the ship after a couple of lackluster efforts, some really good tracks and a nice flow to the album. Still one of the greatest live acts going right now.
Jeff the Brotherhood - Global Chakra Rhythms
The brothers are finally back on their small label and it shows on this psyched out album. Lots of sitar and indian influence on this album.
The Dears - Times Infinity Vol 1
Finally the back on the scene after a few years off and basically this is a typical dears album, but after a strong start I wanted a little more on the backend of this effort.

Unfortunately Flowers' career does not (at this point) equal D'los because Hall has been to more Pro Bowls while Flowers has been to only 1 (if we're following the NFL format).
Wow. No love for Brandon Flowers. DHall career in the NFL hasn't been much better and I would put Brandon in there over Kam. Unless there is something I don't know about like Brandon speaking negatively of all things VTech since he left Blacksburg.........
Vick, Smith, Freeman, DHall..............Flowers, Kam, Graham are next..............
EDIT......After checking there career stats I was wrong.............DHall has more than double the picks of Flowers in just 4 more years...........48 to 20.........but I still think Flowers deserved at least a mention...........DBU
Perhaps the guy has put a tremendous amount of talent into the NFL talent because he also was given a tremendous amount of talent to work with.
I'm skeptical that, short of PEDs, an individual S&C coach makes that much of a difference.
This doesn't surprise me. The wife and I went out with friends and lived it up Wednesday night, stayed home last night with the kids and my mom was in town and barely watched any of the Orange or Cotton.
Today while making dinner my wife asked "Is it just me or do we not care about the bowl games this year?"
Having the playoff games on NYE is a huge mistake. Next year when the Hokies are in the Peach Bowl for the playoff I will watch obviously...but until then my eyeballs will be elsewhere NYE moving forward.
