May be moved to linebacker?? That really caught my eye. We have moved middle linebackers to defensive end but has it ever gone the other way? All of that film clip was play as a hand in the ground DE.

Just so glad we sent CFB out with a win. Thanks, Frank.

I'M NOT CRYING, YOU'RE CRYING!

Agreed. Cornerbacks have to have supreme confidence in themselves to be able to bounce back after allowing a big catch or TD which will always inevitably happen. The best always have had that confidence, and a level of edginess to get in a recievers head provides a competitive advantage.

D'lo is a great Hokie and has been a good ambassador for VT, imo. He's always said great things on ESPN about Coach Beams and the program and mentored other young Hokies.

As a point of clarity on a couple of Ford's records:

1. Andre Davis did go over 1000 yards in 1999, including the NC game. For all pre-2000 stats, the NCAA did not count bowl games when compiling the numbers. So, in the same number of games, Davis did it first, and if you include the bowl game, still has the record (1178 for Davis, 1164 for Ford). Still very impressive work by Isaiah this year. EDIT: see below for my inability to add numbers.

2. Ford set a record last night for most receiving yards in a regulation game with 227. Ernest Wilford has the record for most yards in a game at 279, but that was a 2OT game against Syracuse in 2002. Wilford also accumulated those yards on just 8 catches - wow. EDIT: upon looking at the play-by-play from that game, none of Wilford's yards came in either of the OT periods. So really the 279 is still a record accumulated in 4 quarters of game action, so this is another record on technicality.

My dad and I were having a conversation about how he thinks Hall's an asshole while watching the Skins game after ours. I think Hall gets wrapped up in his own on-the-field persona. I told him that, out of the players I've met, he's been one of the most down-to-earth and is genuinely a good dude.

Since Reavis got the boot, have we figured how who is the best dancer in the team? Did Bucky get the title for the OSU TD dance? We need an answer by the end of the spring game!

Fuente, GA him!
Brewer if we don't keep you best of luck wherever you end up, you are one tough SOB!

He'll be an all time favorite of mine. Beat Ohio State. Gutted out UVA 2014 after his shoulder got messed up. Gutted out UVA 2015 after getting crushed multiple times. Gonna miss that dude.

I agree, my completely deficient knowledge of the finer skills of football can see his blocking and routes are lacking. I also have noticed that he doesn't do a great job of tracking the football and using his height to an advantage on jump balls. He needs another year to grow these skills and the NFL will be waiting on him.

I think it would be mutually beneficial if Bucky came back. He could use another year to polish his game and I could see him going in the first two rounds of the draft. He could improve his blocking strength and his route running and needs to show he can consistently make the catch. He looks like he will be more of a pass catching TE in the NFL, but he hasn't shown a great set of hands or vision to high point the football, he shows that next year and NFL GMs will wet themselves.

Bud's FB posted a cool pic of a t-shirt for the bowl w/CFB sticker forming the "0" in 280.
