The Key Play's Community Powered Moderation System

Turkey legs are a delicious, sobering, slab of meat on a stick. They're also The Key Play's karma currency and moderation mechanism.

Members can award them to each other by upvoting comments and forum topics. If someone posts a funny picture, witty reply, good statistic, something you like etc..., then upvoted and give them a turkey leg. Conversely, if someone flames, wages a personal attack or doesn't follow the community guidelines, then downvote. Do not downvote for disagreeing with someone's opinion. In general, upvote more often than you downvote.

Users below -25 turkey legs won't be able to comment. Users below 50 turkey legs won't be able to start forum topics.

Oh, I'm pretty sure it's him, but what I really mean is I don't care to think more on it so I'm just gonna leave it alone.

If...er, when we get more trolls, I'll be quicker on the trigger. I tried to be fair, and even though the guy was heading for his second community ban, I just hastened the process. I won't be so slow next time. To an extent, I should apologize; I should have acted a dozen posts before I did, but I chose to more rigidly adhere to the voting rules on the actual content of the posts. Until they passed a tipping point, I didn't act. I should have. That's all that matters to me, not whether or not the guy was the same one.

well... yes and no.

Sometimes it takes a little needling to bring out the true nature of the troll. This would have gone on for many more weeks had people not piled on and weeded it out over the last 36 hours.

I don't know what to think.

...really?

No offense, but, what are the honest chances that ANOTHER user who was banned weeks ago tagged you on Twitter immediately after banning someone? You caught him in the midst of his troll rage cycle and he tipped his cards, and is now trying to backpeddle because he realizes he just told you guys to be on the lookout for his return.

There is absolutely no way that wasn't him.

I guess if he really really wanted to Joe could cross-reference decepticon names with accounts that are active but haven't commented. Would be a lot of work though. He'll rear his head again and we'll self police. It'll be annoying for a couple days but whatever.

Yeah, sure.. wasn't him.... he just happened to be watching the site at the exact time this was going on despite having been banned a while ago and unable to comment. And just so happened to comment about the ban the immediate second it happened.

Sure

Funny how he backtracks right as the thought of proactive IP banning comes into play

Did you used to have a different handle of another decepticon from transformers?

I asked him yesterday since I thought he sounded exactly like starscream, and his reply was that shockwave was from something else. Hilarious that he can be so identifiable in his idiocracy.

You know, I think people genuinely like Loeffler, I hope he gets another shot at OC or QB coach as well, as painful as watching some of these offenses has been at times, his work ethic cant go ignored. Its hard to pinpoint what hasnt worked for him, I think its interesting and by far not the most exact metric, but watching the UVA game, at one point near the 2nd/3rd quarter there were so many three and outs, I took notice and started counting and there was something like 6 back-to-back three and outs.

That lead me to wondering if number of punts would be a good indication of offensive prowess, or lack there of,
and its interesting because weve ranked in the top 20 in most punts per year 5 of the last 11 seasons, 2 of which were under Loeffler.

By no means is that an exact metric, but it kind of explains why its so hard to watch our offense, we punt the ball on a regular basis A LOT more than other teams...

ESPN Team Punting Statistics

Optimism: Memphis this past year ranked in the upper portion of least amount of punts last year. That looks promising, unless turnovers were the reason (pssst they werent, but thats one issue with using that as a metric).

Have to ask Joe. I'm not privy to the technical details.

Now he's tweeting at me saying it wasn't him and he's just messing around, but his entire Twitter timeline is basically just taking shots at TKP so I don't know what to think.

As someone who knows little about the X's and O's of basketball, I'm hoping you can enlighten me a bit on this topic. Are we seeing a breakdown of a system that Buzz is trying to get his guys to play but can't? Square peg/round hold situation? Or is it something else? Buzz had a pretty good amount of success at Marquette, obviously, and is considered a really good coach, so what's the missing link? Is he trying to prove some larger point here through stubbornness?

Any insight or conjecture would be fascinating to hear from someone who knows way more than I do.
