I don't normally question our coach's decisions, but I don't understand some of the things Buzz is doing. No Pierce? Maybe he isn't great, but why is he not playing 5-10 mpg to prepare for the ACC schedule? If he thinks we can play with anyone in conference with Leday and Blackshear as our bigs.... I don't know what to say.

Post a link if you have a source of information that people can read. All you're doing is dangling premium content in front of people and effectively trying to use this space to advertise 24/7's services. That serves no purpose. If there is an insightful article or useful information that can be shared, please share it.

The guidelines state the material should not be copied and pasted from behind a paywall, e.g. don't steal. We do a good job (as far as I am concerned) of nipping most of that in the bud. Sometimes stuff gets missed because not everyone reads every article to know where it comes from. If the 24/7 guys have an issue with something that's posted here, they can take it up with us and we will gladly handle it, as we have done previously.

All you're doing is claiming knowledgable status by posting information others can't see. It is considered "noise" here in the comment section. If an article is VIP and you have nothing to share, don't.

And knock off the attitude.

There's a difference between spending for the specific needs of the athlete (nutrition bar, training upgrades, etc) and spending on exclusive luxuries (laser tag, bowling alley, barber, movie theater, mini golf, etc).

But, throwing money away like this is hard to swallow. My argument has always been that the revenue sports are needed to fund the rest of the athletic department. But, having 55M basically used as a recruiting tool for football proves that at least some programs have excess money.

Just curious, what if (hypothetical) it came out that this one-time $55M investment resulted in better recruits, thus better results, that brought in estimated an extra $10M/year for 10 years? By logic that better players are more attracted, thus the team does better, thus fans get more excited and give more, etc.

So, if it was proven that this was not 'just' a way to use excess money, but an investment that projected a nearly 100% ROI over 10 years, would it be easier to swallow?

Wow, I wish I wouldn't have even discovered this reminder thread. I had figured the game was later on tonight and would have surely missed this shitshow.

I think a good barometer for this season would be the breakdown of how many games are watchable vs the games that make you violently ill. I think this game marks 4, Alabama St, Jacksonville State and that drubbing from ISU. So we're putting a decent product, by my standards out around 2/3 of the time. Lets hope we can beat this pace through the remainder, otherwise this is going to be another embarrassing ACC season for us.

Who's on the big board, and in what order?

If you can't answer those questions in a summary, then there's no reason to post it. What you're posting isn't a summary, it's click bait.

I get what you're saying, but I feel like there are certain things at every campus that are off-limits to non student athletes. I don't think a non-athlete is allowed to walk into the sports nutrition cafe thing they have and grab some food.

You told me yesterday to post links of the info that's what I am doing. Just because a couple guys are acting like women at a certain time of the month, you contrive into them. However I will agree to stop no problem if everything that has been prior posted to a premium ESPN article, HokieHaven Article/tnread, or 247 article are taken down.

I'm not breaking any guidelines and it's bullshit that you are telling me to stop doing something when I'm not breaking guidelines. If you want to change them fine. But just because everyone piles on one does not mean rules can change for a select few.

Look, we all know what you're doing. I'm just suggesting you stop it before the masses turn on you and downvote you to oblivion. And really, if you keep it up, the admins and mods will likely take action, because you are advertising for a premium content competitor.

And cut it out with the sanctimonious attitude. Not doing yourself any favors with that, either.

Yeah, we stopped Bembry, only letting him have two points in the second half but Miles just has been allowed to do whatever he wanted because he is being covered by guards. He has ten points from buckets four feet and in and is 11-12 from the line because we are allowing them to draw our bigs out of the lane because we continue to play man to man defense for some unknown reason rather than keeping our bigs down low in a zone.

Let me know which summary you don't understand I'll help you through them.
