But since we're not actually signing any checks over here, why don't we continue the conversation for kicks? I personally find these listed renovations fascinating and think something along these lines could be accomplished in conjunction with producing better on the court. I don't see why it has to be one or the other. In fact, adding some high-dollar seating options just as our team seems to be sprouting some wings might be a great idea.

We are scheduled to play FSU in 2018, but its in Jacksonville. The next time we play them in Lane is 2023.
I'm expecting a decent uptick in recruiting next year.

yeah I noticed that too. He was lined up as a slot receiver or HBack more often than not. Most of his carries also came on sweep actions and pitches. I only saw a couple of plays where he lined up as a traditional tailback. I don't think there is anything wrong with that, though. He's clearly athletic and has good hands to be a threat in the passing game. He's a weapon that I'm confident Fuente and Co. would be able to use effectively. I would not be upset at all if we could land the guy but, as others have pointed out, we need LBs in a bad way. I hope we're pursuing some top talent at that position too.

Case in point to the discussion above: he's listed as the top RB in his class, but he lines up as a WR about half the time, and makes a couple of great catches.
The ocean limit I found was for 2015 of one fish, 28" minimum. There was mention in the articles I Googled of Va maybe upping the limit two two for 2016, but I can't find any information indicating that is the case.
It would have been just as meaningful if it had been over the 7th win instead of the 6th.
In fact, moreso, because there would be fewer bowl-eligible teams.
It's nice, but their upgrade cost $24 million, and removed 2,200 seats.
So I ask again, what problem are we trying to solve? How long does it take that kind of upgrade to pay for itself? What are the financing costs in the mean time? It looks comfortable with the padded seats, but how much did the price of tickets go up? If VT raises ticket prices, what does that do to attendance?
For me, the priority needs to be the basketball team itself. I'm not against an upgrade, I just think one needs to look at the big picture from all the angles.
So far, I'm pretty impressed with all of the changes Whit and Buzz have made to the program, so I'd probably go with their recommendations.

As I continue to look at college arena renovations around the country, I found another ACC basketball foe that has upgraded their digs relatively recently.
Notre Dame's renovations were completed in 2009 while they still a part of the Big East, for reference. It went from this:

I really think Shai is in danger of being permanently eclipsed. Travon showed every bit of promise this season that Shai showed in '14, without the concern of back to back season-ending ACL surgeries. Everything I have heard about McClease has been optimistic. I think Marshawn returns to be the bruiser back, Trey gets the scraps, and that leaves very little room for Shai.

Alright at 15 carries a game McMillian will only need 10 YPC to reach his 1800 yard goal in the regular season. If you assume a Natty (because why not) then he will only need 8 YPC with the postseason included. I would say he's got this.
It's amazing what the second half of that Iowa State game did for this team. They grew up leaps and bounds in confidence that second 20 minutes and to follow that up with a gritty win over an NCAA team from last season changed the season outlook for these boys.
I think the loss to Alabama State was such a gut punch for the team, it's nice to see they've rebounded well from that.
We need to beat St. Joes.
