Allen got 20 minutes on the floor, he just missed all three of his three point attempts tonight. He still managed to go 5-6 from the line. He finished with 11 points. Zach Leday played a team high 26 minutes, so everyone's time was reduced compared to normal, except for the 11 minutes Galloway played and the 2 minutes Donlon got out there. You probably look at Galloway's minutes for where Allen, Wilson, and Robinson played less time. Effectively 3 1/2 minutes a piece not on the floor probably means one or two shot attempts each. Give Allen two more buckets and he is near his season average so far. Hudson also probably played about ten more minutes than normal so far this year so that did have an effect as well.
Never will happen..... rankings, whether they are accurate or not, draw better ratings.

# | BUZZKETBALL CENTRAL: Arkansas Pine-Bluff Golden Lions (2-6) at Virginia Tech Hokies (4-3) 3PM ESPN3 Leday was definitely money at the free throw line and might be our best shooter. Can't say I've seen a power forward shooting technical free throws for a team, but Leday did it and drained them both. It was also really good to see Tyrone Hudson show up with an emphatic dunk to open the game! I thought he gave us a lot on the defensive end as well. Lastly, Bibbs looked more aggressive today which was good to see. The dude is money from 3!!
I missed this one, but it's starting to sound as though some individuals are starting to get rolling, but the team is still a few steps behind.
Seth Allen didn't get much mention, was is role reduced in this one or was Hudson's hot hand keeping Allen off the court?
But will the officials call fouls? I don't think I'm stretching a whole lot when I say yes, yes they will.

# | BUZZKETBALL CENTRAL: Arkansas Pine-Bluff Golden Lions (2-6) at Virginia Tech Hokies (4-3) 3PM ESPN3 On Henry and Blackshear I pretty much agree, but as for Pierce, the sad part is against Northwestern, he played 19 minutes, scored 6, pulled down 7 rebounds, had no blocks and no turnovers with only one personal foul. He needs to find a way to match that output rather than what we saw against Pine-Bluff.

Even in the paint somewhat contested, he had trouble putting the ball in the basket. Not sure why Blackshear didn't get more minutes this afternoon. He's pretty raw, but I think he's going to be really special in the days ahead. Pierce on the other hand gave about as much as I expect we'll get out of him nowadays.

Better than 70% - Check 77.5%, 31-40 for those interested
Galloway and Donlon on the Court - Check (Donlon is going to suffer having so many bigs that need playing time ahead of him, Galloway the folks ahead of him have enough experience to sit down for a few minutes - really nice to be able to say that) Galloway got 11 minutes tonight and scored more than Justin Robinson 5-4.
80 Points or more for the Hokies - Check
Five Hokies in double figures - Check
All around this game went about as well as it should have. Tech had an ugly shooting percentage in the first half but took care of making their free throws. They held APB even lower scoring wise than I thought they would at 45, and towards the end I was hoping they could keep all of the APB players from reaching double digits but alas, they had one player reach 10 points. Robinson with a team high five assists, but all around the number needs to be higher than the 13 the team got total.
Leday went 9-10 from the free throw line which was rather impressive. He definitely bounced back well from his last game disappearing. This was his fifth double-double of the season. Still surprised at the minutes that Buzz had the starters in for but you could tell he was having them try some new set plays and rotations on offense.
Only real negative was that the bigs other than Leday had games to forget. Henry, Blackshear, and Pierce combined for 26 minutes, 3 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 turnovers and 6 personal fouls. Definitely not the kind of game that these three should have had against larger but unskilled opponents.

Yes! Love tennis! Played since age 14, and still playing.
When they first announced "four team playoff", my initial reaction was "oh, they're expanding the BCS to 4". (made sense because the major complaint was top 2 might not be best or >2 undefeated)
The problem pre-BCS was human bias. So we get the BCS (computers). What do we have now? Humans again, only 12/13 instead, meeting behind closed doors.
At this point I'd be surprised if any of the coaches on the offensive side are retained.
I've always had the impression that the OCs resorted to trickery/misdirection Because they were forced to, due to personnel deficiencies.
That's why I'm so excited for the future. Now that the recruiting anchor of Beamer's impending retirement has been removed, in really looking forward to seeing what a high-powered offense can do in a few years once the recruits are flowing in. I have no expectations of instant success, but I think we'll be rolling along on a few years.
