I'm sure they've already attended mass at St. Mary's.
Richt was down to between retiring it coaching Miami
That does not bode well for the future of that program. I mean, yeah he's a good coach, but he isn't going to be what they expect him to be, and there's a decent chance he practically phones in his tenure there.
And even with that said, even if he gives it his all, between Fuente and Bud, we still have the best coaching staff in the Coastal. Only a matter of time before we are back to dominating again.
Haha. Excellent response.
See, you are just picking individuals. I'm talking a whole class. Look at the champions of the past ten years and you will see that they all have had top 10 recruiting classes in the previous years leading up to winning it all.
Sure, you can point to Paxton Lynch and say well he was a 2* that is gonna get drafted in the first round, but that is so rare for a 2* recruit. When you have a class of highly skilled/ranked guys, depth and athleticism will simply win you games. That is just how it is, and how it will always be. The idea that targeting the best high school recruits won't give you your best possible team is wrong 99% of the team.
When Coach Greenberg got the axe not all of the student managers were kept on JJ's staff. Not sure if that applies to football — just FYI.
Wait. What did you just say? Did you say something about his momma?
Get off my lawn.
But seriously what in the hell did you just say. I'm getting too old for this shyte.
Come to a good game in Lane sometime. You will not be disappointed!
Unless you're Alabama or Ohio State.

Uhhhhhhh can it be February yet???

honestly I don't think Miami really ever respected Golden. He seemed pretty doomed from the start.
But there are two things that signal the beginning of the Christmas season: watching Santa roll past Macy's in NYC, and seeing the Hokies drink from the Commonwealth Cup.
I really wanted Chipotle the other day, I still had Taco Bell though. Same diff.
Don't sweat it. 1rst year recruiting for new HC is a wash unless your Saban or Meyer. Can't count on recruiting until next year.
Autocorrect for Hokies would be my guess. Kids and their music.
I'm really looking forward to this new-look ACC. I honestly think the Big East was better in our final years than the ACC 2005-2010. Miami was elite, WVU was solid in 2002 and 2003, Pittsburgh had Larry Fitzgerald to go with a few other decent players, and Boston College was a good team from about 2003-2008.
Tech pretty much ran the ACC from 2004-2011, and there was always 1 or 2 other teams that would stay fixed in the top 25. Then when Tech lost its mojo in 2012, FSU and Clemson took over.
When we first joined the ACC, we didn't picture it was going to be as poor as it was in the following years. NC State, FSU, and Miami all struggled after 2005, Georgia Tech and Clemson were inconsistent, and Boston College didn't exactly pan out the way the conference thought they would.
Now, we have one elite team (Clemson), two solid programs who are recruiting well so they have the potential to improve even more (UNC and FSU), two programs that have been consistent the past couple years (Pitt and Duke), and now you have Miami and VT hiring new, hopeful coaches. In a few years, the ACC could be what we thought it was going to be in 2004.
The best part, though: every conference has a couple bottom feeders. Those are good because it gives you a chance to give players valuable conference game experience. Every year we happen to play one of these teams, and it also happens to be a rivalry that we have won 12 straight in. Things don't look to be getting any better for them either.
You're killing me Smalls! NC style rules!

Sounds like mama fuente produced three future forwards for the VT women's basketball team

WTF did he just say???
Good news for Hokies and the rest of the ACC Coastal:
Source tells me Jeremy Pruitt will not be going with Mark Richt to Miami.— Josh Newberg (@joshnewberg247) December 3, 2015
Yeah, this. The media would love that and every time we play on ESPNU or the ACC Network, some backup commentator would be like, "and yeah Chuck, just how ironic it is that Shane Beamer, son of the long-time legendary Virginia Tech head coach Frank Beamer, is now the main man for the Wahoos."

Whats that little smirking face going from USCe to A&M?
