Searles daughter posted a picture with some other girls at the game along with the caption " glad they made a bowl game, that way this isn't the last time the squad is together"

Edit: do any other coaches have teenage daughters? ( that could be the two in the picture with Searles daughter)

Edit2: so I went down the rabbit hole that is a teenage girls Twitter account. The other girls in the picture are Stinesprings kids. They have both tweeted about "last game in lane" , last time here as a Hokie etc.

Charlotte would be pretty neat for all of us in SWVA

He just finished a game and he wants the focus to be on the players. He says so right after saying it's "premature" the first time. Later he says both the reporting of and discussing it now is "premature." But it's not definitive language. I think this is a coach that has respect for his players and the program he is at and knows there is a time and place for things and that wasn't it. I think decisions have been made.

His press conference was great. He is very open and meaningful in what he says and very little coachspeak from what I heard.

The Hokies do not simply beat the Hoos, rather they have chosen to torture them for 60 minutes with the agony of what it would feel like to win, then pull it away at the last second.

It's hard to watch, but I get it.

Worst part of this whole thing - the school is flirting with bankrupcy, there's damaged buildings (still unfixed) all over campus, and boosters want to pay $15 mil to exchange the 5th best coach in college football for the 4th best coach in the country (but they are unwilling to help the university). Recently discussed on reddit with some current students, they were furious about it (understandably so).

Damn. That makes it hard to hate them now.

Seriously, tho, class act move by Jimbo. I really love the outpouring of support Beamer has received. It's definitely deserved! It just accentuates how special Frank is though. There will never be another like him. I'm gonna miss having him on the sidelines representing VT in the best possible way. #thanksFrank

Oh, word! Then I choose to interpret Andre Davis's stats as being our first 1000-yd receiver and expect Travon to be a Heisman candidate with the 2100 yards of rushing he put up this year.

This was my instant reaction, too.

Funny, LSU was talking about canning Miles but since he won yesterday, they're not going to fire him. Maybe they were planning on sneaking Les out in the middle of the night and sneaking Fuente in without telling anyone. When they found out Fuente was off the market, they had to retain Miles.

I have a simple wish...we go where we can play a beatable opponent. Please, Santa?
