# | Tech Squeaks By Virginia 23-20, Earns One Last Dance in Charlottesville for Frank Beamer Looked like UVa was playing cover 2 all day on the defensive side of the ball. And FINALLY late in the third we found a way to get the ball to a wide open tight end (Malleck) down the middle of the field.
It will be sooooo nice to have a change of pace on the offensive side of the ball moving forward. Great to get the win, but boy was the offense a train wreck today.

So he made the administrative equivalent of coachspeak here. It is pretty crappy to have it out there that some assistants are being retained, because that basically makes lame ducks out of most of the rest of the staff. Those guys still have a commitment to the school and the players. While an announcement will certainly come in the near future, it will only be after Whit has fully informed everyone about their future with the school, as is only professional.
Mr. Kowalczyk could use some discourse with a PR specialist.
So, it's (1) not ideal and (2) not synonymous to a dagger in the heart. Thus, could be a dagger to the gut or maybe the neck. Perhaps it's a quadriplegic amputation or a complete loss of brain function. The options are so many, but at least its less than a dagger to the heart.
So your hope is EVERY other team gets a lengthy illness and VT ends up in Glendale.

I also do not know how it would truly affect a recruit. I don't think gratitude towards Beamer will be anything more than a nominal factor in a recruit's decision.
Agreed. Probably the same people who think Forde broke the Fuente news last week to save face for Mizzou since he's a grade. People talk out of their ass too much.

If this was done for recruiting, maybe they should have put the ad in the Virginian Pilot instead of the Roanoke Times. Not a ton of talent coming out of Western VA
