And, for all his talent running, he is still struggling to pick up pass protection, likely one of the reasons he didn't get that early season playing time.

Gets tricked by a single fan with dummy shot clock attempt, over helps on the defense leaving the only UAB shooter open for a 3, gets beat by his man. Over and over again. His ability to drive and make layups is cancelled out by terrible shot choices and defense.
For a guy that has gotten close to no help from his o line for the most part ever since he got back from shoulder surgery, he has been quite the talent. 12 won't go down as an MV7, T Mobile or Bryan Randall type of fan fav due to how long he was here, but he's been one of my favorite Hokies. Tough as nails. He probably doesn't have much of a future going forth at QB, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he's an excellent coach down the road someday.
I just got home from the game. The stadium was at least 50% Hokies, probably more. The celebration between the players and fans at the end of the game was amazing. Hopefully someone got some good pics and video. I saw the players carry Beamer to midfield, did he get a Gatorade bath? Overall, just a wonderful day. Hokienation showed up in full force today. 12 in a row!!!

I expect he will end up a QB coach somewhere. He's just not a good OC and never has been.

They were really cocky this year but in the end they tucked their tales and took their medicine again. 12 & counting. Love you Frank, one more for CFB.
It could be the lunch pail containing a dozen cracked eggs with UVA logos on them.

# | Reports: Hokies Set to Name Justin Fuente as Next Head Coach, Retain DC Bud Foster I for one can't see Fuente keeping Shane on as RB coach. I'd say the whole offensive staff will be Fuente's guys and if Shane is retained he will be either ST coach or on Foster's defensive staff.

I hope like heck Loeffler is out as OC by season's end, but I definitely would keep him on staff (not as OC) if it meant keeping Lawson from leaving.

Excellent news, I hope it pans out
It seems Buzz has conceded only being able to defend either the lane or the perimeter. Since this team shoots 25% from behind the arc, he is giving them that shot. Shouldn't be that way but until these guys can play perimeter defense and collapse correctly inside with their man we should expect more of it. Allen is definitely costing us this game. Constantly out of position or loafing back after a bad offensive possession. Just not sure how long Buzz can keep this experiment going.
