# | Reports: Hokies Set to Name Justin Fuente as Next Head Coach, Retain DC Bud Foster So I was looking for Memphis fans thoughts on this hire and found this, which is quite the contrast to how we operated on offense from early this year at least. Will be interesting to see it play out

mr_tigs, I didn't want to start a new thread for this so I'll just ask here. I've watched every offensive snap from you guys so far this year and will be flipping back and forth today between us and UVA and you guys and SMU. I'm really impressed with how much talent you guys have on offense. Quick question though.
I know Dorceus is a good player but I really enjoy watching Jarvis Cooper run. Why hasn't he got more carries this year?
BTW I'll be cheering for you guys today. Good luck.IMO
Fuente doesn't do much situational packages
Meaning he goes with whoever is on the field
He uses a lot of personnel but tends to let the backs play an entire series rather than sub in and out
There were games that Cooper didn't touch the field in the first half

# | Reports: Hokies Set to Name Justin Fuente as Next Head Coach, Retain DC Bud Foster It would be good to keep Stinespring on staff in some role. He is a good recruiter with connections all over the state and our tight ends have played well enough.
Mike London reportedly fired by UVA:

EDIT: page taken down. Status TBD.
Curious...though given the dysfunction over on that site not entirely surprising. Might have had the report ready and accidentally published it.
Been retracted already.
Yep, I foresee great things from VT athletics in the near future. Whit just gets it.
Perfect day ruined.

Facts and figures have no place!!!
4 more quarters of the Loefflerfense! Hooray!
Seriously though, happy for Frank to get one more win over UVA. He's pretty much killed the rivalry.
Probably gone. He coaches a position that we barely use now and he is an average at best recruiter.
Him leaving should come as no surprise.
What's impressive is that, looking back at all the rumors, this has been in place for a while now, and its just now coming out now that the regular season is over. Whit got his guy immediately and kept it under wraps to allow Frank, the Seniors, and the Memphis team to have their moment before the news broke.
Very, very glad we have Babcock in charge right now. He's turning out to be one hell of a homerun hire, and we're just scratching the surface on how much he is going to benefit us.
I work in Charlottesville. Last year, I took 11 Dunkin doughnuts to work on the Monday after the game.
This year, it is a Full(er) dozen! (See what I did there?) Best. Win. Ever.
Next year, I'm hoping for a baker's dozen.
I'm taking my boys bowling this year.
EE 1989.
I think we can stop here. This closes this thread down.
My only complaints about ST this year have been a shortage of blocked kicks, and Stroman.
I thought the return teams were pathetic all season (KR and PR). Stroman made tons of mistakes that shouldn't have happened with better coaching. JC Coleman did pretty poorly with most of his returns being under 20 yards. Der'woun Greene was alright.

Why you tryin to cramp my style, man
So..a 12 pack?
Or a dirty dozen
I really think anyone who thinks this was motivated by recruiting is thinking too hard about it
23-20 win beats a 23-20 loss to the Boo Hoos all day err day
My kids still don't know a world where UVa has beat us!!! Great job guys. Hats off to Frank. That has to feel great ending his last regular season game with a win over his rival for the 12th straight time!!
If I've been reading By The Advanced Numbers right this year, we've had the #1 ST unit across the board for at least a few weeks this season.
But okay.
It was a butt ugly win...but I feel good...actually relieved. How damn emotional: agonizing plays mixed in Fuente news, beer more beer, ahhhhh. Yea!!! Thanks, Frank! I am ready for nite nite.
We are a strong draw. But the one thing that must happen is that Clemson must beat UNC. If somehow Clemson goes down, I'm not sure what will happen. Belk Bowl seems to like us, so I can see it happening, but again I'm not used to dominoes falling as they should where the ACC is concerned.

Edit: Nevermind, that's not an official twitter
