# | Reports: Hokies Set to Name Justin Fuente as Next Head Coach, Retain DC Bud Foster I expect Shane to be on the defensive side. I can see Fuente delegating the defense side to Foster and Foster replacing Cornell with Shane. Shane's entire non-VT coaching career has been on the defensive side.
What's amazing is how close this game has been recently, but VT still comes out consistently on top.

Fosters defense is the worst it's been in over a decade and they're still ranked 30th in total defense......Total defense
