Like most of this stuff its probably just a rumor though so take it with a grain of salt. The only way I see our defensive staff getting replaced is if Bud just doesn't want to stay after not getting the HC job himself, or if Fuente doesn't feel comfortable with any of the staff.
I'm not sure Baby-Faced Brewer will be able to get it done on Saturday. I'd feel much more comfortable with Scruffy Brewer.

Glad to see most people have moved on. Cody's a good guy. He just likes to party and have a good time too. It's pathetic that some people still shit talk when he posts stuff to instagram and other social media.

True, which is why Whit needs to sell his fundraising vision just as well as our next coach needs to sell his recruiting/winning vision to Whit.
My take on Mullen is that he's ready to get out of Starkville with Dak graduating, wanting to get to the mid Atlantic and looking for a raise. I would imagine VT offers everything but a big raise. Mullen may also balk at keeping Bud, wanting to bring his own guy. That leaves VT exposed to about $1.2m+, but I understand that would go away if Bud takes another job.
Mullen is a lot like Fuente, but probably $1m+ more. I don't like him that much more than Fuente.
That may well be but it was terrible too long for me to bother watching it. It was so bad at the beginning that I would rather have watched Kardashian reality TV.
I came from out of state, and the only person from HS that I knew for sure going to either school was my roommate. (Lee, back in the early 80s....) But, thanks to being a college basketball fan in Maryland, I already had a good and healthy hatred of UVa to work with.
The way the team has been the last few years, and getting to my 50th birthday, has led me to more of a "let it go attitude" - celebrate, but try not to let lows get too low. (I say "more of," but most of my mid-80s peers would argue I'm probably the most emotional about football, even with my new Zen-like ways.)
Having said that, this is the one game every year where I let - nay, encourage - the emotions to run as high and hot as possible. My first VT-UVa game was in Charlottesville in 1983 as an MV, and we won 48-0. I call that "a good starting point." There is no score high enough for a margin of victory - the mathematics have not been invented to represent such a number.
So missing 1st string LB and maybe 2nd string sounds like a lot of Nickel coming. French how does that work towards VT advantage?
Bud is under contract. There is no problem with saying the DC is set.

If we can, I want Whit to lock down Fuente immediately and not hope for something better to come along. A (great) bird in hand...
The great thing about Winter Soldier is you really dont need to watch it as a super hero movie.
It works just as well as a spy thriller, and better than half the Bourne movies.
It has the same vibe as Manchurian Candidate, or Parallax View, or in some ways All the President's Men, but just happens to be focus on Captain America.
One thing is for certain. The movie will be better than the actual comic event.
On page it was disjointed, characters breaking established patterns, and in general poorly written and wrapped up way too fast.
Frankly the group that was best written through it was the X-Men who told the govt to stay out of their shit or it was about to get real. Also the start of Cyclops really moving from being an annoying boy scout to the awesome anti hero savior we have no.
I think both of these scenarios are well inside the realm of possibility, hence my concern.
