The B1G is the wildcard. Iowa hasn't gotten much love, MSU should have another loss (to Missagain...fluke play at the end), anOSU is/was a paper tiger. So if Iowa runs the table, they are in. If either of the other 3 win out, including Iowa, they probably are in.
Then maybe they look at the Big12 and put an Oklahoma in there over an ND that barely squeaked by BC. (And still has a good shot to lose at Stanford.)
Then you've got the $EC. What if Florida beats Bammer, but only by a point or so at the last second? Do they put both of them in???

If we can just get a top 50-60 offense with a new offensive minded coach to pair with a defense around 20, we're a solid top 25 team and will certainly be able to hang with UNC.
I'm fairly confident that our next coach will have our offense in the top 30. We have a ton of talent there. We just need somebody who can put it all together. I'm a firm believer that Whit will hire the right guy to do it. I think if we have a top 30 offense and a 30-50 defense we'll be fine.
Not gonna lie, after posting it, I immediately had to go to IMDB to make sure it was actually Carl Weathers and not Billy Dee Williams that played Chubbs.
I don't know if they get left out this year. If they beat Stanford I think that will eliminate a Pac 12 Champ from contention. With a B1G team and at least one SEC team in the mix it would be hard to keep ND out. If Clemson Wins the ACC they'll get a spot. If UNC wins the ACC I think ND would get the nod over them. Winner of the OU/OSU match-up will have the best shot at a spot out of the Big XII. That's where the toss up will occur. But who does the committee punish? ND for not playing in a conference championship game or the Big XII champ for not playing in a conference championship game?
In my ideal world Stanford will beat ND and win the PAC 12. Clemson wins out and the playoff committee is forced to take conference championship game winners from the ACC, B1G, Pac 12, and SEC. Because I hate ND. And I think it'll be funny if the Big12 gets crapped on two years in a row because they don't have a conference championship game. That will force them to make a change there.
