Ive seen similar reports, I cant necessarily speak to this one, per say, without seeing exactly what they are looking at, but in the past they've failed to include non-sports royalties, and treated construction investments as one time deals and not annuities. Past attempts I've read have been against college football programs, over-exagerating expenditures and under-calculating 'true' revenues. People buy school affiliated paraphernalia, because of the sports programs primarily, it does not make sense to not include those revenues.
Im not positive this report excludes those, but if it does, it paints an untrue picture of college football programs.

Hold the phone there. I'm not rooting for RichRod but I think the out-and-out RichRod hatred ignores a ton of what he could bring to the table. I'm could only be considered a supporter because I stand in the neutral-positive area whereas most people stand in the highly highly negative area, and it makes me stand out.
As for RR vs DM? Hmm...I think I'm about even on those two.
See my comment below, now with a chance to look into him, I think I'd be happier than Meh. Since he isn't one of this year's hot coaches, I have been overlooking what he's done.
Actually a buddy of mine texted me earlier today and suggested it, and my reaction was Meh. I suppose it comes from the excitement that I think other coaches would bring to the table. When I got home from work, I read all the new comments on this thread and this one, by DCHokie, stands out:

I suppose I didn't know his background as much as I should have, but I can tell you for sure that when this was mentioned I thought to myself that he hadn't really achieved a high level of success anywhere as a head coach. Now that I look at his record and his history, it looks like his success has been farther under the radar than I was looking, but since he's been at Miss St since the 2009 season, I guess I just didn't notice him because he wasn't a 'hot' guy.
In hindsight, he wouldn't be an exciting hire, but I think you're right, he might bring a lot to the table that we need and/or want

Something else to think about as we close in on the ACC/Big Ten Challenge:

Just gives you a sense that the ACC isnt the only conference struggling with some really bad losses this season.
On TV, yes. But they only play out west every other year. They play at Stanford in years when they play USCw at home. The west coast trip is really helpful for recruiting.
Maybe, I seem to recall him getting a good 30~ yard catch from Lawson in garbage time
The moment ND makes the playoffs over any conferences is the moment those conferences cease to be impartial about independents.
I still don't see it happening this year. Worst I see is a one loss BIGX?? team making it and thereby prolonging their expansion and addition of a CCG. Or their outright disbanding.

The receiver may have had control of the ball with his fingertips right after he caught it. By the time his foot hits the ground, his right hand is above the ball and the left arm has been pulled down away from the ball. Short of him palming the football, he does not have control here. I don't think he palms it because the ball does not stabilize as it comes down. It bounces off the top of our corner's arm before they hit the ground. The exposed end of the ball "waggles" all the way down, showing that he didn't have control of it. Only when he is fully down out of bounds and he pulls his thigh up to trap the ball does it stop bouncing around.
I feel like this is super clear. The corner (Edmunds?) did enough to keep him from getting control, but short of the ball popping loose, there's no way this gets called right the first time. Thank God we have instant replay to be sure...

The ESPN link I posted has a fairly long clip of it. I can speak for the people in our immediate section - we thought he was gone after it happened. Very surprised he remained in the game.

No side was perfect, but when the defense was great and the offense was terrible. I blame the offense. 3 points at half and 10 going into the fourth is inexcusable.
