I titled the post God's Gift, because, really, who does that?

People do. It's their own choice. I agree with the person above - you wanted to call him out and then tried to protect yourself at the same time.

And I'm not sure why you're picking on him particularly. The entire team hasn't played consistently all year, and Bucky has come up big for us this past year a few times, and, as noted on a TD pass this game. He's playing TE and WR and is probably gassed because there's no one to relieve him, so you might want to cut him some slack.

Had a few hours to digest the game.. looking back one thing that irks me ... a RB (usually McMillian) kept missing the blitz pick up .. that's unacceptable this late in the season

Similar to how you're calling me out? You don't know me, so cut it with the "emotional protection" garbage.

Anyway, I have nothing to hide. I don't see consistent effort from Hodges, and I think it hurts the team. I don't think it's on the same order as Marcus Davis from a few years ago, but it's still lack of effort.

I titled the post God's Gift, because, really, who does that? If you're going to get that tattoo, you'd sure better show up with effort to back it up.

Yes... and Wes Worsham made my little guy's day today by giving him gloves worn by Carson Lydon during the VT/GT game. It was so unexpected, I never thought to take a picture.

I think Loeffler knows too much about football for his own good. He's that Algebra II teacher that you had in school that just wrote shit on the chalkbooard, overhead, smartboard (depending on your age) and talked a mile a minute, while the whole class is like "WTF?"

Brewer is too confused sometimes out there to pull the trigger when he needs to.

I think you.g players would still benefit from the contact hours, but you're right that it makes a difference in a coaching change year. Still shouldn't turn it down though.

The second half tonight was the first time this season I've had fun watching a VT basketball game. Guys flying around, being tough and scrappy inside, hitting a few from long range, and playing some smothering defense. I'll take that all day long. Definitely something positive to build on going forward.

He's also playing out of position all year as the 3rd receiver vs. a true h-back or TE. We only have 3 people capable of running routes or catching passes so I suspect he's winded and frustrated.

Sounds to me like he's upset that his heisman hopes may have went out the window. Not classy.

Has urban meyer ever went undefeated and won the national championship? Just curious.

You know, I usually hate helping people move, but I would help this effort in a heartbeat. And I wouldn't even accept the obligatory beer.

Only if the extra practice is with the new regime.

I mean that sincerely. Does an extra month of practice with coaches that won't be there (at least offensively) do any good at all?

Brewers grit has taken him on a much nicer vacation than his talent can afford. That will suit him well in the future in any career he chooses.

Then call him out. Don't give yourself the emotional protection of "I don't like calling individual players out...." when your intention is to hate on him.

It seems like your post is caught in between. If you want to offer direct criticism of his play due to observations and results, then don't snark about the tattoo. If you want to snark about the tattoo, then don't disguise your hating as analysis. Just my opinion.

Bama literally may have zero top 25 wins when all is said and done, but the SEC is "great" or whatever the narrative is.

I'm sure they will find a way to keep LSU or Florida in the rankings even though Florida will get run next week by FSU
