I had a very vivid dream like that before, only I was talking to my Dad may he RIP. It was so vivid I woke both myself and my husband up talking and laughing. We were talking about the Hokies and football. I remember my husband laughing when I told him what my Dad and I were talking about. My Dad is where my passion for sports, especially football, comes from. I agree with hokiefan89, prophetic dreams are real and you should consider yourself lucky. I sure did.

NO. That wasn't the game. Had it not been for two back to back unthinkable fumbles by UNCs QB the game would have been over. Period. We were lucky to get to OT. Horrible series of plays for the offense in OT. Once we kicked the FG you knew our chances were fairly slim giving UNC the ball at the 25.
I think his biggest issue yesterday was his pocket presence. Many, many times he would step into the rushers rather than avoiding. He would panic at the end of his drop back if he didn't immediately see someone open, even if the line was giving him good protection, and he would abandon the play and render the blocking moot. If we just had someone who could trust the blocking and wait for the routes to develop, that would go a long way in fixing things.
At the same time, it would help to have plays called that would set up for quick routes, but that's beside the point. With new offensive coaches next year, things should improve a lot. We have good weapons and our athletes can make some great plays, but the sum of the parts right now is poor and that's on the coaches.
Prophetic dreams are real and this could have been one. I definitely hope it was!
Hit up one of the many Beer Gardens. There is a big one on their main strip that should have the game for you. They have many, many TVs.

# | Hokies Nearly Earn Storybook Lane Ending for Frank Beamer, Drop Home Finale to UNC 30-27 in OT I'm just going to be honest with myself and say that as heartbreaking of a loss as this was, it was not unexpected. I'm surprised at how close the game actually was, and pleased that the defense held UNC to what they did. I expected for us to get blown out, and I was pleasantly surprised that we did not.... Which is also the problem - I'm happy to not get blown out by the opposition theses days. it's because of games like this (failing to close even with momentum, inability to execute, and lack of discipline [looking right at you, Dadi]) that it is time for Frank to leave, and this game did nothing except to confirm that Frank's decision was the right one.
Am I disappointed we couldn't get a win in his last home game? Absolutely.
Was I really expecting to win? Nope. The closest I allowed myself to believe that a win could happen was late in the 4th, after our last touchdown, when I thought to myself that this was probably going to end up like the game against Miami in 2001.
Hopefully the next HC will instill the fact that moral victories don't count in the W column.
Crap. Unless I find. Bar in Asheville, NC with the game, I will not be ab,e to watch CFB's last game.

The play by play guy yesterday was awesome but the color commentator was a disaster. Ford is far and away our best offensive player and Bucky just looks like he's supposed to be our best offensive player.
I was still mostly curious about what it would mean for Lefty to have an offense run by a quarterback that had experience running his system in live action. With Brewer being hurt in game 1, and Motley being essentially a rookie at throwing the ball, we were going to take some lumps. Now, the losses we suffered while Motley was playing can (and I think should) be partially attributed to Motley not being as ready as he needed to be at this stage of his career, which I think is Loeffler's fault, without doubt.
But if we look at the games we lost (and our margin of loss), we have ECU (7), Pitt (4), Miami (10), Duke (2, OT), and UNC (3, OT), it looks to me the offense was, to an extent, productive, and I think the data bears that out, even if I yell at mt TV for three hours every Saturday. Note I left out the OSU loss, as I think we would have lost there regardless, but when Brewer was hurt, we were in a 1-score game and had just come out of halftime with a lead.
Let's also not forget that we haven't turned in a vintage Bud Foster defense this year. If our defense had been a little more productive and had Brewer not been hurt, is it possible that some of those losses could have turned into wins? I'd think so, given the small margins of defeat.
Had that happened, would I be complaining about the offense so much? Maybe (read: hell yeah), but I probably wouldn't be posting that Loeffler needs to go if we were sitting on 8-9 wins instead of 5.
Yup, I think Brewer has so many intangible skills but sometimes lacks in the area of tangible assets to match. For example, he'll run with toughness but take hits his body cannot withstand. That isn't his fault, and I think his attitude is in the right place, but his body will never allow him to take full advantage of his willingness to take someone on.

Happened to notice both Houston and Memphis lost yesterday. Wonder how much of that was influenced by things off the field, such as offers on the table for their coaches.
