I played in a well organized rec basketball league. the refs were so bad one year, we got rid of them all the next year. we had one player from each team ref instead for free. saved us a bunch of money and everyone was way more happy.
The ACC should do the same thing.

In my book he got both feet down and caught the ball. That's absolutely a catch. Not gonna feel bad about it because if they overturned that it would be a stupid technicality.
I just don't think you can rule that a catch when so many similar plays (Coale) are ruled not catches. But the problem is way more that those somehow aren't considered catches than that plays like this are.
We have to put together all three phases next week. And in December/January.

He possessed the ball when he caught it, Edmunds knocked the ball with his hand, ball moves, but was never lost as possession. The ball must be out of his hands to be loss of possession. He maintained possession all the way to the ground.
agree. that is what people don't understand. he never had full possession. it wasn't a case where he had it until he hit the ground.

I certainly did. Maybe not bobbling, but certainly moving around a good amount. Mad at the call, extremely pissed at them reviewing it for all of 5 seconds.

How can it be a catch if you don't fully possess the ball until you land out of bounds? He was bobbling until he landed out of bounds.

That's 100% not a catch. But whatever. Fuck catch reviews, it's a toss up anyways depending on what the guy in the booth feels like calling.

So, we disagree about what the word "possession" means. I say you don't have possession of a catch if the ball is clearly bobbling.
