My understanding is that playoff money would go to Notre Dame, but if they took an ACC's bowl game, they would split the revenue. This is from an ESPN article from 2013

Starting in the 2014 season -- and coinciding with the new college football playoff -- Notre Dame could step over an ACC team and take its place in one of the non-BCS bowls if its record is better than, equal to or within one win of the ACC team or ranked higher in the BCS standings. Notre Dame would share in the revenues if selected to any of those bowls, and get an expenses allowance. If Notre Dame is picked for a BCS game, it would keep its revenues from that appearance.

I already hate ND. IF it turns out that their winnings are not split among ACC teams (I'm not saying that's the case because I honestly don't know) that will just drive me to hate them that much more. I hope they don't make it to the playoff. And not because there's a chance VT would not benefit from their winnings. I just hate them.

I thought Bryan Randall would always be my "Guy". You know the "guy". Not the biggest, strongest, fastest, or the best. But you know what you got and what he is gonna give. 100%. On and off the field. And be stand - up all the way.
I think Brewer may share that distinction.

In 2007 (when I was a student) I drove down for the Clemson butt whooping down in SC. An old high school friend of mine that was a student at Clemson at the time had given me the ticket so I ended up sitting with him and a bunch of his Clemson buddies. Right before the game starts he comes up with what I thought at the time was a terrible idea. He takes his collared Clemson shirt and tucks it into his shorts and commences to hop the wall onto the field when he thought no one was looking. He reaches over and grabs a broom that was leaning against the wall and begins to sweep some trash that was in the corner. About that time a cop walks over to him. I'm thinking that he's about to get tossed but the cop completely ignored his lack of credentials thus falling for the ruse and after chatting for a few minutes he just walked off. My buddy watched the entire first half standing with the Clemson team right on their sideline. Not a bad way to watch Flowers and the defense along with the special teams single handily pound the Tigers in Death Valley.

I still cringe when I hear his name. That drop created an irrational hatred and disgust deep inside me that lasted through his NFL years. Now, as an older and wiser man, I feel I need to apologize to him for my years of unfair anger towards him. Of course, he has no clue who I am, but.... Mr. Wilford, I am truly sorry.

I agree completely. He hasn't been in the Burg as long as most, but he's definitely endeared himself to the fans. Great character. I'll miss that guy. I do hope he gets into coaching. Maybe when Herman is ready to move on in 10 years or so we'll give Brewer a shot?
