I disagree with the comment saying we have a 56% chance of an 8 or 9 win season. That's simply inaccurate reading of the graph. To get an actual % chance of # of games won, add up the column above the number in question with every column to the right.
For example:
Odds VT wins at least 8 games = 76.67%
Odds VT wins at least 9 games = 49.37%
Odds VT wins at least 10 games = 20.77%
One of my tricks for beating the cold is finding routes through buildings to where you are only outside between buildings. Of course, if you have to cross the drillfield this tactic is kind of moot.
I looked out my window at work this morning and saw this flock:
There are eight of them, which naturally means we will win ten games or r-So TE Matt Hill will be our MVP. Or maybe Detrick Bonner will be our most consequential loss from last year. Or maybe we'll beat OSU by 8 points.
Joel said he saw them last week or something and thought it was a hen with 7 poults, when I saw them this morning I didn't think of them as mother/chicks. They foraged in this giant field for a while, then I had to go to class.

I'm just curious here how we would all be reacting if it was a DC from another school, say aOSU, that this came from? Would we even be talking about it? Would we say that they need to get out the torches and pitchforks?
Hell as the father of a player, i must be missing something! So, if the kids do what they are supposed to do, whats the problem? Good decisions yield rewards, bad ines yield consequences. When my guy makes bad choices at home there are consequences. VT has one of the least amount of players to get in legal trouble in the country. Maybe what they do works. I would love for him to leave as a better man than when he came. Accountability should be one of the corners of the foundation of a man. Bud just suggested a watered down version of what good parents do everyday and I expected nothing less. Hell he could share my foxhole anyday!!!
This solidifies Mihota to DE more than anything. Next year there'll be two r-soph and two r-fresh DT's (including a more athletic Tim Settle), and I just can't see Mihota being moved back over. He better start losing weight and getting quicker at the line, because this move to DE will be for good. Which is a good thing imo. We trade the traditional quick VT DE pass rusher for a reliable run-stopper who has a high enough motor to sometimes be a threat in the pass rush.

It also should show the players that they are serious about them working hard and meeting expectations. Maybe the penalty is different than what was discussed, but there will be consequences if you aren't living up to what's expected.
my understanding was that this was still in a defensive capacity (blocking kicks, not blocking for kickers)
How is Pryors career as a WR going again?
He definitely says "boom" right before he starts his ejection shuffle.
Two deep against OSU? What the actual fuck.
Gah - touche! Much more plausible now (at least one way).

# | Bitter blog - Babcock offers clarification on player fines, shuts down entire practice But tell me how you really feel.
I think Bud is getting flak for the fine issue because he happened to be the first coach available after the issue found light. This would have been a VT football issue, not a Bud Foster issue. And there undoubtedly are other coaching staffs across the country that have either considered or are considering similar policies. Tuberville affirmed that he'd consider it this morning at Cincinnati.
Been witholding my thoughts on this issue. Now that there's some semblance of closure, I'll say this.
Fuck the media.

Hey are you a Hokie
What does that mean?
I think someone mentioned in one of the snapchat threads that he was on the line for field goals or extra point units. Maybe just as a body?
FSU has an obnoxiously long spelling bee. F- L- O- R- I- D- A, S- T- A- T- E, Florida State, Florida State, Florida State, wooooo! Sugar Bowl in '99 implanted that gem into my brain just as much as that obnoxious war chant.
I will speak to anyone wearing Hokiewear, but my first question is usually along the lines of "Hey, are you a Hokie or are you just wearing the hat/tshirt/etc. The most usual answer is their kids/grandchildren go there. I do have good luck with folks who have a gigantic VT magnet affixed to the tailgate of their pickup truck, though.
anyone else curious how this would look if they did player-years? That is, you get 1 point for each player for each year he was/is in the league. As it stands, you could have one guy who plays 10 years in the league not count as much as a school that puts 10 guys in for a year or less each.

Oh, man! You made me want to watch that movie again. Hysterical.
Is it? Might actually be right when you consider the orange outline.
Interesting note I learned following Hokie20 on Twitter, the VT logos on the helmets are different this year than the past, as they're making them conform to our university standard where the gap between the V and the leg on the T is the same width as that spoke itself. In the past, that gap has always been too narrow.
