I was trying to keep my comments light and controversy free (cause, you know, we all spew out greenhouse gasses, it's called breathing), but look into the manufacture of batteries for electric cars and you'll see that the environmental impact of mining all those minerals is devastating. If you're just looking at emissions from the tailpipe, yes electric cars pollute less, but it's important to consider the entire supply line of the power for your vehicle (well to wheels, as it were). On the gasoline side, you've got drilling and pumping oil, refining it, transporting it, plus the actual pollution from operating it. On the electric side, you have to producing the power in the first place (the pollution of which varies based on method), mining materials for the batteries and disposing of said batteries full of incredibly toxic and permanent chemicals.
As to the power generation, for electric cars powered by coal or diesel plants, I'd argue that the day-to-day operation is actually worse because of incredible loss in efficiency. In other words, you would go further just putting the diesel in your car than using it to create power, transmit that power to a charging station, charging the battery, and discharging the battery to make your wheels turn. If you're charging your car off of solar, then you have to factor in all the mess created to make solar panels (not nice stuff there, either). Nuclear? Sure it's safe until you have to dispose of the fuel rods (my vote is a space elevator and then launch those suckers to the sun).
Anyway, the long and short of it is that it takes energy to move our butts around the way we want to. Energy has to come from somewhere and we haven't come up with a truly clean way to produce it. All electric/hybrids do is shift the pollution somewhere it's harder to see so that people can feel better about themselves. If all prius owners were required to live downstream from some of the mines that produce what's need for their batteries, you'd see ownership plummet. But so long as they can keep it out of sight/out of mind, we'll get comments like yours

You'll be waiting a long time to get that elevator...

# | Virginia Tech Defensive Media Session: A very newsworthy chat with Bud Foster think it was on beamerball that even wiles was considered he may develop bad habits with the use of the cast. Bud also mentioned it was broken I believe.
Are you trying to give us fuel?
give us fire?
give us that which we desire?
because we claim Metallica too.
San Diego St.?

Yeah that's the biggest glaring thing to me.
People are building GT up way too much right now. Just way too much. They caught lightening in a bottle last year and even with that, still needed a lot of luck with numerous unforced errors to even get out of the Coastal. Sure, they beat Miss St in the Orange Bowl, but then again, Miss St was a product of pure SEC fluff. I have a sneaky suspicion that GT is going to come crashing back down to Earth hard this season. I just hope the national media doesn't try to spin that as the ACC being back to sucktown because of it.
With D's from Baltimore and Pittsburgh!? Not likely! Better chance of an all field-goal affair!
You may want to rewatch last year's game if that's what you think happened. There were 2 times during the game we were up 14 points. The first time they came back & tied us, which I would have to assume is the point where their "offense started to be effective" at that point our defense shut them down and we went up 14 again. They most certainly didn't "run out of time". If anything the game was headed in the opposite direction.
Just to show redemption and perseverance. I've seen a few other hype videos in the past that do that too.
Lol, yeah, I started to get depressed in that first minute or so.
When I got back down here last Tuesday, I was hanging with one of my friends and we were talking about how it's a little chilly transitioning from DC summer. Then I was like we should stop complaining it'll get actually cold soon, it's Blacksburg it'll probably be snowing by the end of the week hahaha I'm so funny. Except an hour later she showed me a screengrab of a forecast that had it flurrying on Friday. The forecast changed, but still, the weather could do anything, anytime, anywhere with no warning around here.
The best offense that Tech will probably face all year will be GT. They are annually one of the best under Coach Jerkson.
That said, aOSU will be one of the better offenses this year after you get some players back and work through starting issues.
Why would you lead with a minute of....that?
The 29th at 4pm
An OSU player was nominated for and did not win in the following categories:
- Ultimate Herbie
- Breakout Star
- Most Exciting Player
- Looks the Part
Are we just looking for things to be annoyed about?
It'd be nice to see them do one with current players
Too busy to check right now. When is this game? Gotta watch that!
Stop the run, pound the QB. All other players become largely non-factors at that point.
I love your glasses, where'd you get them?

How does anyone? No one has ever seen him there. If I am going to trust someone to figure it out, it might as well be Bud Foster. Its not like OSU didn't use top end H-backs last year in the VT game and got shut down.
Miller could be the supreme X factor. If he tears it up, Hokies probably won't have an answer. If he looks like a guy playing that position for the first time in an actual game against a top end D, or he decides he doesn't like how his shoulder feels after taking a hit from a guy thats not on his own team, then who knows.
I'll be honest I skipped to the middle as I found the beginning too brutal.

Every time I see someone post a "Hype Video", I always hope that a Hype Man will jump in mid-video.
Seriously, it should be a requirement.
