Agreed. Braxton is great with the ball in his hands, but he has two things going against him now.
1. A QB running has a math advantage that running backs/WRs just don't have.
2. Braxton has probably never had to learn how to block properly/run routes in his career. So he may be an asset on the 5 plays where he touches the ball, but he is likely a liability on the rest of the plays where he cant' block Chuck Clark. I'd be far more worried about Samuel than Miller if I was Bud.

Yep.

But yeah, guys, it's totally Bud's idea.

So showing a measure of respect for an opponent that defeated you let year is "blowing smoke"?

I know it's not a common thing on 11W, but there isn't anyone on here saying the OSU is in "trouble". I think its a realistic conversation to discuss when a team is down 4 guys considered starters in terms of catching the football going against a team that is very good at stopping the pass and has been for some time now. Makes for an interesting point to watch in the upcoming game.

Just a level of homerism coming across in most of his stuff. Sure, nothing wrong with being a homer, just be a homer on your own site. The game will be what the game will be, but saying that our offense will have to score 35 to win implies two things. First, our defense gives up over 35. Possible, sure. Probable, I have a hard time saying that. Second, their offense will score over 35 with youth in the WRs. I expect Elliott to get his TDs and their QB will be fine, whoever it is, but outside of Thomas, the targets are just question marks right now. We went into Columbus with question marks last year and it worked out for us, but we had no idea what we were working with until the game started. To pretend that the question marks are answers is short-sighted and very homer-like.

I don't think he's being rude or offensive, he just said he doesn't think it will be close. To be honest, part of me feels the same way. We are still talking about the defending national champions trying to avenge their one loss last year.

I think this long off-season has gotten some fans so hyped up that they 100 percent expect VT to win, no questions asked, and get upset hearing anything to the contrary.

I respect Vt just found it funny how Ohio State fans are spinning it like the world is ending because a guy that caught one ball last year is out. sorry again not trying to be an ass just wanted to let you know we will still field a team sept 7 ;)

Yea guys!

I mean just look at the Prius, what other car can turn left by just sticking your arm out the window.

Sidenote: I would die for anything Tesla

I'm just not blowing smoke like these other buckeye fans

Yeah, you're not blowing smoke, you're definitely inhaling it.

Sorry, that one was hanging there. But seriously though, respect your opponent before you start commenting on their site.

Yeah, I also can't wait until somebody makes another college football game, once the NCAA gets a handle on how the licensing agreements would need to work with players.

And yeah, I'd totally take those odds. If only Vegas would give me 232:1 on us going 12-0...

I use to be a airplane jumping, rifle toting, pipe hitting mother f***er! However, the Army continued to reward mediocrity and kept promoting me. Now I sit behind a desk and make sure younger airplane jumping, rifle toting, pipe hitting mother f***ers keep their awards, NCOERS, MEDPROS, and various other admin shit squared away. Oh, occasionaly I get to get out in the field and relive the good 'ol days...but not very much.

No attitude. I'm just not blowing smoke like these other buckeye fans. Believe me don't ....believe me but this offense will be the best VT faces all year. I think it could be a close game but Ohio State will have to turn it over to keep VT in the game.

so we find a way to buy the largest collective allotment ever sold on the open-market to their shitty stadium next year and make that one of our new satellite stadiums?

Welcome to the site, and thanks for the input. No doubt OSU is pretty loaded, even with a few injuries and suspensions. It'll be an interesting game on both sides of the ball all night.

One thing though, I think saying that Oregon "crowded the line" might be a bit generous. I've watched that game a few times since the season, and this was an all-too-familiar look.

French has said it, Bud has said it, everyone has said it: VT plays a very different style of defense than the teams OSU faced at the end of last year. OSU is very, very good, but this is one matchup that, schematically, favors VT.
