Amen and well said. The reluctance to label evil as such is a large part of the growing problem in the US.
Yeah read that too. No details provided on the scene but will run 9/2.
Obviously just a very sad coincidence, but a good idea on USA's part.
No - I figured it would be a completely coach speak answer since it's asked so often. I will say that during live practice, reps were given in the order of JC, Trey and McMillian.
Call your wives and tell them you love them. Help a neighbor that needs a hand. Teach your children about the value and sanctity of EVERYBODY's life.
This takes me back to the response to April 16th. As tragic as these events today have been, I believe it will give our community and the communities of Roanoke and SML a chance to show the world what they are made of. We will not allow a madman to strike fear in our hearts but rather we will live harder and stronger than ever before. Ut Prosim isn't just something you say, it's a way of life. I love Virginia Tech and the family that comes with being a Hokie.
so what you're saying is that I'm asking to much when I just want no INTs?
There are good, average and bad INTs.
The good ones happen 40 yds downfield and the DB's progress is stopped there; same as a punt without the chance of something going wrong on 4th down. They're actually not that bad if thrown early in the game, because it re-enforces your deep threat potential, hopefully softening coverage underneith. (Think Brewer in 1st qrtr of OSU game.)
The average INTs are 10 yds, over the middle, with little or no return. These end your scoring chance and may give them good field position.
The bad INTs are the ones taken back for scores, usually thrown outside the hash marks. Worse yet if they're thrown late in the game. (Think Brewer vs GT or Logan vs BC.)
We need more good INTs and less bad INTs. The best way to do this is better line protection and more aggressive play calling. Hopefully we see that this year.
Did you ask Shane how he's going to handle the running back rotation?
Good info, thanks for that!
I got lucky enough to get to spend a few minutes with Shane Beamer and watch some practice today.
Regarding the O-Line, Shane said that SS wants to know he has 6 or 7 guys that are game ready, but now that they are in OSU prep mode and will tighten things up. At practice, Teller ran every play I watched with the 1's. It looked like Hansen was back in there as well.
In the handful of plays I watched the offense run, two things were fairly obvious. No one on the 2's can stop Ford, and Rogers may very well play every position on the offense except center.
Shai was not even running warm up sprints with the rest of the team, and I didn't see him take any live reps, so they may be holding him out while in game mode.
Last interesting note - Lawson was running with the scout team wearing a #16, I assume to mimic JT.
Completely coincidental, but I thought this would be the place to share it. I just saw it on my Twitter timeline...
USA is pushing the 'Mr. Robot' finale because there's a scene that's similar to this morning's journalist shooting http://t.co/ziBvuYnHGv— Breaking News Feed (@PzFeed) August 26, 2015
Maybe it was because they were Under Armour...
Just to be safe, try Nike in an official color.
Fuck this motherfucker.
Couldn't have said it better. After the initial shock of hearing about this tragedy, now comes the hard part. We now have to tolerate every single talking head on Earth trying to figure out, "Why did he do it?" "Was it racism, or capitalism, or socialism, or croynism, or nepotism, or ism-ism?"
Dudes, it's simple. Motherfucker was evil. I don't want to hear how he lost his job, his dad beat him, his girlfriend left him, someone called him a bad name, or he played too much Call of Duty." It's called life. We have all lost, been scorned, been picked on, or just run into some terribly bad luck. The other 7 billion of us have not shot two innocent people because of it. This guy did. Because he was evil. Evil exists. It's real. My only wish is that everyone personally affected by this heinous act can find the strength and courage to go on.
Call your wives and tell them you love them. Help a neighbor that needs a hand. Teach your children about the value and sanctity of EVERYBODY's life. That's how combat the evil that this guy perpetrated on us today.
I love you guys. Leonard out.
Yea, it can't be easy.
I'm not really sure how relevant the score in 2014 (let alone in 2013) is to what the score will be in 2015.
Count me as a fan. The character are all wackos that you can relate to and the plot is intertwined around high suspense scenes. Good show. And this Tyrell cat and his wife are off the chart psycho, like you want to look away but you just can't psycho. Every time I watch this show I am convinced somebody is hacking me and that I could/should do it too.....
Joel is back be crunching numbers?! Damn I can hear football right around the corner!!!!!
Nailed it! I guess I've just gone native and picked up the drawl...
I've been a dietitian at the same hospital for 27 years.
Wow, so many engineers (what did I expect?) and not very many business folks.
Chief Bean Counter & Check Signer and made my way back to Blacksburg somehow. AMAA.

Anyone else?

USN
first thing I thought of when I saw this.
