They're going to be a very scrappy team next season. Really impressed with Gorman this season. He's strong on top and has good defense. Like most freshman he has room to grow on his bottom technique. Very high potential.
I was very happy to see Mac get the win. He deserved it since he had the only takedown. His recipe for success at ACCs is going to be the same. Scrappy defense and convert on one or two quality shots a match.
Don't get me started on the politics of it all. Latest I've been told is the cousin of a bunch of netters is now working for marine police at the Cape and phones them every day to let the netters know where the law dogs will be riding around, so they can illegally net in other areas.
We have enough data and the results are clear. As somebody else said, you take away the ACC Tournament win and he's gone by now. I understand funds are an issue and I would imagine that would be the only reason he stays after this year. If the finances allow it we should move on and thank him for keeping the program running after the Buzz defection and make a splash hire announcing that VT athletics are serious about results in sports beyond football.
